I recently found an awesome party/social game called "The Resistance" that my friends and I love to play. The premise is very similar to games like "mafia" and "werewolf"; you have a group of players, in which some of them are working against the group and have knowledge the others don't.

In "The Resistance", you are basically members of an underground organization known as "The Resistance" attempting to destroy the establishment. However, among you there are counter-agents, or "Imperial Spies" who are working to sabotage your efforts. The spies know who they are, as well as who else is a spy, but will for all intents and purposes appear to be working toward the goals of the Resistance.

The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions". The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.

THE FIFTH MISSION:

The Resistance successfully freed their allies, but naturally Imperial forces were quickly able to determine that the Resistance was responsible. They're planning an all-out assault, based on intelligence gathered from a weak-willed prisoner who sold out the Resistance during his imprisonment and torture. The assault, you've learned, is targeting YOUR cell.

Worse, the Resistance high command has sent a message stating that 3 of your team are being re-assigned to a new cell, in order to ensure that all Resistance eggs aren't in one basket, so to speak, if the Imperial attack succeeds. You will have to choose 5 people to stay behind and defend your HQ. If the Imperials capture your HQ, they will assuredly use the information they collect to destroy the Resistance completely.

But there is hope; the Emperor himself is going to be present at the planned raid, in order to secure his public perception as all-powerful leader if the raid succeeds. What he doesn't expect is that you'll be ready for him, and have set up a clever trap. If you can hold the HQ for long enough, his assassination is ensured, and the Empire will FALL.

It's all or nothing, players. Succeed and the Resistance wins. If, however, this mission fails, the Imperials will win the day.

But, if you can't decide who will stay and defend the HQ, then Resistance high command will be forced to keep everyone behind, ensuring that any spies are in prime position to break the Resistance once and for all. If 5 proposals are rejected, the Imperials will win as well.

This mission will require 5 team members to stay behind.

VERY IMPORTANT: This is the FINAL mission, and ANY SABOTAGE will mean victory for the Imperial Spies. The Resistance will need to ensure that no Imperial Spy makes it onto the mission team!

Cekuray, once the abilities have been passed out, you may propose the mission team. You may put yourself on the team if you so desire.
I await your decisions here.

OK. So out of the three people who did not go on that mission, two are spies. The three people that didn't go were Special K, Illicit, and Molly.

That does seem to confirm the theory that Special K and Illicit are spies. Personally I think the third is Marc.

Jason never would have voted to sabotage knowing he was the only person on the team, and the mission would succeed anyways. He might be confused, but he's not an idiot.

Molly, Illicit and Jason are the spies. I don't know how many other ways I can convince you guys, so I'll just wait and be proven right at the end.

Special K, knowing that you are the no. 1 spy in this game :), and having you accusing now Jason and Molly of being spies, that means you cover for Marc. Marc was forced to vote success last mission to cover himself, as he saw already two success votes here on the board. I keep Keep a close eye on you ability for myself, as it is useless anyway and give the No Confidence ability to Danny Mack.
Now, for choosing the mission members, considering that is the last and must be composed only of Resistance members in order to win, I am asking you fellow Resistance members (nicnic, Jason, Danny), who do you think will be the right choice? Molly or Marc? I consider that this mission will be accepted with 5-3 votes if the right name is in it. So, guys, Marc is a spy, besides Illicit and Special K? Special K covered for him the entire game. Any opinions?

Just to clearly re-state the abilities that are potentially in play in this round:
Nicnic, Cekuray, and Danny Mack all have "NO CONFIDENCE" and can reject a mission team that has been voted through.
Cekuray technically has "KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON YOU", but again this ability is meaningless in the final mission. From here on out, I'll simply assume the ability does not exist for brevity's sake.

I love when you use medium sized words like brevity ;)

I don't know where in this game I managed to turn everyone against me but so be it ;) clearly I'm not going on the last mission, but can I propose what I would do for the last team?

Just my thoughts but we all know who I think the spies are so with only 8 players, there's only five to go.

Good luck cekuray! Hope you pick the right team and know that if Jason is on it, the resistance WILL lose.

Marc, you are forced to vote success in two situations for mission 4: if you are resistance you are forced to vote success and if you are a spy and don't want to be discovered, being the only possible sabotage vote for this mission, you are forced to vote success in order to stand any chance in the last mission. So, these are the situations when you are FORCED to vote success. :D
