Just wanted to put out my thoughts and prayers to family and friends of all those lost, and suffering loss of life, home and general safety due to the Earthquake and folowing tsunami and aftershocks of Sundays (Sumatra time) (8:00 p.m. EST Saturday evening).. which is about 6pm sleuth time I think.

Anyway Delvin is in Singapore and he should be safe, but usually logs on daily and I haven't heard from him, and he does know people that would have been in effected areas.

So any good thoughts you want to send him, or people there feel free to add on to my posting.

HOPE if anyone else here lives in SAsia or SW ASIA are safe and everyone they know are also.

Again Prayers and my good wishes to those in that part of our world.

If there is someone who has had contact with anyone in Medan Sumatra, or Singapore? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. I am unable to get hold of a cell of a friend of mine. He works in Singapore, but his family and his second home are in Medan on Northern Sumatra.

Our neighbors are in Sri Lanka right now. They left on the 15th & were supposed to be back the first part of January. His daughter-in-law is Sri Lankan & she just had thier first grandbaby. they were going over to let her family see & spend time with the new baby. I am so sad, nervous & worried. Ijust saw where now the waves are coming back & hitting Africa. it is just so surreal. Be in prayer for our wonderful neighbors. If they are okay it will probably be weeks before they can leave & be back stateside. Also, if anyone knows what countries were affected please post them all here as we know others who are staitoned in Asian countries.

I am also deeply saddened and shocked about this. Though Cambodia wasn't affected, many areas close to here have been, and I'm not sure where some of my friends are at the moment either. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
This off the news today: more than 15,500 people killed and millions homeless; "Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India each reported thousands dead, and Thailand... said hundreds were dead and thousands missing. Deaths also were reported Malaysia, Maldives, Burma and Bangladesh."

UGh, I've been praying, and thinking about this all night. Still no word from Delvin, I am thinking maybe the infrustructure there got damaged somehow. He usually plays daily.

That is what I read too, but I still haven't heard from him, maybe he is off helping. Or maybe they got evacuated?

Almost 24,000 dead now :(

I doubt he is evacuated it is too far away. However I heard there is a lot of fund raising going on over there.

However, keep it mind that it could be possible that he has family and/or friends in the affected regions. Singapore is in the South-East the richest and most westernized place. A great many people from all over the world, and Asia itself, move there to do business. The kind of Asians with a college education, and from wealthier families. This means a lot of people in Singapore, may know people in the affected areas.

I've heard that lines of communication are down all over, even countries not affected. The magnitude of this is unlike anything we've ever seen, at least in my lifetime. I honestly can't even comprehend how these people much feel right now. The thought of a 30 foot wave of water sweeping through my home is unbearable- especially given where I live, on the Eastern seaboard, 30 miles north of Washington DC, in Maryland.

I'm hoping that Delvin isn't logging on because of internet connections gone bad because of the earthquake. I really hope I'm right.

this is such a heartbreaking event... I am having trouble even comprehending the devastation - the death toll is now estimated around 23,000. If anything can unite the people on this planet, I hope we can all come together to help however we can.
