Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

Sleuth day has been good. Sometimes you just need to play to take your mind off of things, like today.
In less than 12 hours, three of my major appliances died.
First the water heater
Next the clothes dryer
And last but not least my oven!

So yeah I needed a distraction.

To lose one appliance in a day may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose three looks like carelessness.

Looks can be deceiving.
Not carelessness, more like old age, the oven and water heater are over 20 years old. The dryer maybe around 10 years old. Since these are things used on a daily basis, I can't complain about their life span. Well maybe the dryer died a bit premature.

Anyways the point was sleuth can be a nice place to come to when things in real life get a bit difficult.
After all, most players are extremely friendly, and the game is fun and a great way to kill extra time.

You'd think they'd do an all in one now. Water Heater / Drier / Oven. Quick someone patent that.

Yikes Shell!

I think we've all been there when the "crap hits the fan" (edited version of course)

No carelessness, even if someone was careless, 3 at once is hard to come by. Personally, I'd be quite offended if someone said I was careless with very expensive items. I"m sure you, like most of us don't have the money to keep putting money out for said items to constantly replace/buy new ones.

We've all been there Shell. I, like most of us arond here, feel your pain. Let's just be thankful that there wasn't a fouth yeterday, your car.

Hang in there dearie! The kids and hubby will have to manage without them for a bit ROFL!!! :P

I swear if something happens to my car, I'm blaming you!
Thanks for your support.
Hubby will have the water heater fixed today, bad thermocouple.
I'll have the oven fixed as soon as new baking element arrives, until then I have plenty of other gadgets to cook on/with.
And the clothes can dry the old fashion way.

I'm sorry shell, I didn't mean to actually accuse you of carelessness. It's a quote from The Importance of Being Earnest - "To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness" - and as such should be taken as nonsense. My comment was careless, please forgive me.

* Gives Yeti Face " The Mom Look"* You know the one that says boy you are in deep dodo.

You're forgiven.
My bad for not recognizing the quote.
