Have you just had your best day of Sleuthing ever? Solved your first AI case? Got your last contact? Picked up your first treasure? Found a spoon? Finally got into the Prince's Palace?*

This is the place to share the joy, have a 'woot' or two and be congratulated by your fellow Sleuths.

Or maybe you've just had to pay Shady enough cash to finance a small war. Or reached screaming point with the tailor in Delhi. Or been pirated twice in a row. Or fallen into a trap three times running. You can share the woe, too, and we'll commiserate. We've probably been there too.

Me? I'm just happy that after two days' worth of 'south of the race track' I've finally got out of Shanghai :)

(* If you don't get the references, never mind. You could ask someone. Or you could just wait and see what the world of Sleuth brings you further down the line...)

Maybe I should have complained earlier... First case today? Got the clue I needed. 33 cases in London. *shakes head*

I feel your pain Anais. Can't compete with your London experience but I'm feeling claustrophobic in Delhi today. Arrived there yesterday and still stuck there today with the following clues:

Not the Missionary x5
Not the Holy Man x 3
East of the Bank x 3
North of the Bank x 2

The Missionary and Holy Man clues alternated with each other over 7 cases - and I could almost hear the game database cackling. It could be a lot worse, I know, but couldn't they please just get it over with? Barber or Tailor? Tailor or Barber? And Cairo is still to come.

Slip of the typing finger - I did of course mean Tailor or Bartender ( not Barber)! And thanks Lady J :)

Now it's my turn to wail about Delhi. Second day in the city and I have,
West of the Chapel, 7 times
South of the Detective Shop, 5 times
South of the Bank, 5 times

Just waiting for that Man/Woman clue. Think I may still be here at the weekend. But it's nice to know that I'm not alone!

My mess-up is well....messed up.

I had it down to 2 suspects, and I had to resort to witness evidence. Out of the 11 people, 2 had permanently clammed, so I had everyone question one of the suspects and it turns out nobody suspected him. That would mean that the killer has to be the other one, right? WRONG.

Got a false accusation, because it turns out the suspect I was asking about was the killer after all. I would have known this if the two people who clammed up decided to talk.

I'm not mad I got a False Accusation (Rage saved for later). I'm mad because this is the first time I've come across this sort of situation! Who would have guessed the ones that clammed, out of the 11, were the ones who knew who the killer was. Horrible bad judgment on my behalf.

The Banker in New York seems to be my friend today...a little too much friendliness if you ask me. I can't get a break from Ruby!

Well, Cordelia, this complaint comes a day late and several dollars short. Though I've already complained in another thread, which is one of mine, I thought it would be more appropriate to post it here, so here I go again, LOL! Yesterday, when I arrived in London I solved 11 cases out of 12. Out of the 11 cases I solved, I was given a redundant clue, over and over again, (nine times to be exact), "NOT close enough to the river to smell it." Dang, I read that so many times that I almost could smell the River, LOL! Then yesterday I finally got two other repeated clues, "South of the Detective Shop, WOW! I finally made short progress. Then today I couldn't wait for my new cases. I just knew I would get the clues needed to leave London, but oh no! Instead, I'm given a brand new clue, that I had no clue about, or were there any clues telling me to whom this clue belonged, or what it’s about. So I sat all day, researching websites, trying to figure out to whom this clue belonged to and then then finally the answer came. YEAH, further progress. Now, I'm still searching for clues at the end of the day to narrow my search down to whether it’s a male or female. Though I am exhausted, my fingernails all chewed off, and my hair is thinner than it was when I started this case, I will endure……*Wink*

Day 3 in Delhi (and I will start tomorrow here too).

I have been here so long that I am near fluent in both Hindi and Urdu.

My clues:

Is a Man x 7
Not the Holy Man x 6
East of the Bank x 6
North of the Bank x 4
South of the Bank x 3

(sympathy please)

I feel there is a rap in there somewhere.

Just to give you some hope Summer, I started a VH today, the great Alexander ''Hawk'' Grimm is on the run, Delhi being his first refuge. I started solving cases and was thinking about this town reputation - uff, this will be a nightmare. First 3 cases solved put the Holy Man on a silver plate for me. It was like saying ''piece 0' cake''. I think I was lucky. But don't worry if you're not lucky in your VH until now Summer, for sure your luck went on a more important subject for you than Sleuth. :)
Don't despair, have patience, learning those two languages maybe will turn up to be a good thing.
May tomorrow be the last Hindu day for you on this hunt!
