Before I go on a villain hunt...

What tips can the more experienced players offer? I've looked through the threads and these are what I have seen:

* Set aside lots of money.
* Obtain contacts for each city.
* Get good equipment which you can travel around in.

Did I miss out any? Like, do I have to make space in my inventory for the rewards? Or can I "teleport" it into my agency?

By the way, is Cairo included in the Arch Villain Hunts? I haven't unlocked Cairo yet. Do I have the option of turning off the option of having Cairo in the AVH?

Thank you so much!

I think the most important thing to remember is that you will quit a lot of cases and you will get a lot of repeat clues, so don't get frustrated by it.

Also, you are on your own! No help from you agency with the cases so be careful and exhaust all your possibilities.

As far as Cairo is concerned, since you have not unlocked Cairo it will not be offered to you as a city in the hunt.

Good luck!

My advice runs to your equipment. When I travel, I maximize my Toughness (since this is my character type - max Charm if that is yours) and make sure I have a positive number for Smarts. For instance, I am currently carrying a 20 for Toughness and a 4 for Smarts. While I can't speak directly to "Tough and Charming", I would suggest picking one or the other.

And a Good Luck wish here, as well.

I'm tough and Charming Peter, and I when I VH I keep a balance between tough and charm and leave myself with zero smarts.

Works well for me, but not everyone can handle it. Any other T and C out there that do differently?

I'm T and C, and I've geared up as all tough w/ a touch of smart, all charm w/ a touch of smarts, and have split it between tough and smart. Each way you gear up changes how you play slightly. Also each person solves their cases a little differently (although we pretty much use the same basic strategies). My best advice would be to try playing AI cases with different gear balances. See which one you like the best. Then head on out and try a VH. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I'm still working on a few more skill points, a couple more contacts and lots of money before I start (so it will probably take some time before I update). I will let you know if I nab that villain! ^^

** AVH looks very intimidating @_@ **

Oh yeah, another question...

In the middle of an arch villain hunt, are we allowed to do lower difficulty cases or favors? (I was thinking about that in case I run out of money...)

No, when you ar edoing a Villian Hunt, all cases are automatically set to almost impossible. That is why it is so importantt to follow the above advice

You asked about making space in your inventory for the rewards. Assuming you successfully complete your hunt, it's a good idea to strip off before going back to Shangri-La to choose a reward. Leave at least hat, coat and one accessory slot free. That way you won't have to sell anything you don't want to.

Good luck! :)

Also, you don't get favors while doing a hunt :)
Good luck!
