Some geeky college students were taking up my favorite study room on the top floor in the Hall of Records. It was a busy day and I got stuck with a room in a more trafficked area. I doing what I always do there, looking for embarrassing alibis for my suspects. Some riff raff standing just outside my thin, glass room were blabbering on when the words "Yo big fat angry mom!" pervaded the air.

That rhymes with Shangri La! I don't how I connected that to an old article I read about the Tea Steepers a really long time ago, shortly after a detective license fell out of the box and into my bowl of fruit loops that fateful afternoon.

I decided to read about it again for old times sake, and now that I knew what the heck she was talking about. I read the whole thing and at the bottom it said "Stay tuned, for the next installment of Mallory's Shangri La Chronicle."

I looked around and found nothing new. I don't remember working with any victims named Mallory Denny but that doesn't rule anything out. The only thing to do now was pin this little anecdote on the ol' corkboard. And by the way...

My client is a pervert.

The girl who got lost! Of course. Let me guess. The dead guy is Jonathan Mercer?

Now I wonder if there's more to that spooky hermit shack.
