I've made a few changes to the structure of mysteries today that aren't very obvious. I'll let you figure out most of them. A few important things though.

1) The harder level mysteries are probably a little tougher than before. If you find yourself having troubles, you might want to move down a level for awhile.

2) The number of suspects is no longer static on ANY difficulty level.

3) If townspeople / shopkeepers know anything about the case, and the person they know about isn't already visible to you, they will now become visible. You will not automatically know their motive though. This should make the non-physical evidence contacts more important than they used to be.

Ben, since u made the game harder i was wondering if there will be any changes with the factions?

For very long time the head of my faction-OS is the same, more than a month now. Im not sure how it is with the DA and CN but from what i hear its same there. Even though i get all the OS cases from everyone at my agency (strategy probably many agencies use) and i do all the little jobs correctly, i really dont get that much points as the one who is in the top. Is there a way to make the factions change a bit more or am I asking too much?
It just seems that if someone somehow managed to get a jump in points they will always keep ahead unless this person will go on vacation.

I don't know if adjustments were made or if I just had a few fluke cases when all this first came about, but at least the men are not clamming up anymore. If it is from adjustments, thank you.

OK, I've tweaked the rate at which people lose faction standing on a day to day basis. This should create more turnover of faction leaders.

Here's what I think:
1) What about those that are still new?
Ok for me though
2)Oh, man! How do I know if my list is complete?
They might clam up on me!
3)Nice!

I'm finding the favors at Inc hard are still too hard. everyone is clamming up - esp. the townies - with no more than one, and sometimes no questions. With more suspects (9) sharing alibis, having the clam rate so high makes it impossible to solve - and no way to 'drop down' a level on favors. I don't mind quitting occasionally, but seems too often now.

Yeah, witnesses and shopkeepers have clammed up more often recently. I barely manage to solve cases, and I find that I lose money on quite a few through bribes.

after i was complaining first about the changes i want to be the first to say, sorry ben! its really ok. costs more money (FT) and time (more clicks) but i still manage to complete all my inc hard favors. dropped down a level in cases just to be on safe side, but i think it will be ok to go back to ridic. soon.
sorry for whining.

I gave Ben a few ideas about new equipment. Maybe he'll take them into consideration.
