I saw this when I logged on just now. Now what do you think this means??

Villain's Mysterious Disappearance
Agents of the Prince of Shangri-La professed today that they were baffled by Mordred "the Snake" Malatesta's disappearance. Last seen with co-conspirator Patricia Green, his whereabouts remain a mystery, as she had no knowledge of his travel plans.

This is really exciting!!

Oh I love it as well and would love to see it in all cities. I also would love to see it be a more dynamic feature, instead of static. That way you always have to go through the process.

I love it! Cairo is a totally new approach to VHs and is quite challenging compared to the other sleuth cities. After a few curses and some hair pulling, when I finally understood how to read the clues, I found the experience exciting.I consider Cairo the most interesting city in Sleuthville and I look foreward to starting a new hunt just to experience Cairo again.

As for expanding this method of clue searching to the other sleuth cities... I'm not sure it would be best. Making each sleuth city the same would make sleuthville very mundane. Perhaps one more city wouldn't hurt, but not all of them. Diversity is always welcomed.

Okay... so does this mean that every villain hunt we start from now onwards will include cairo?

No. If I'm not mistaken you will have the regular VHs until such time as you have access to Cairo otherwise the hunts would be limited to only those dets who can travel to Cairo, which wouldn't be fair. Perhaps someone can confirm this?

I think that is correct ypsi. Which then leads to another question would it be possible for those who can travel to Cairo to choose between the two types of VHs?

That's an interesting question. So far the option to choose isn't available but if it were, now that we have had a taste of Cairo, would we be willing to bypass Cairo?

There might be times when players would want to bypass Cairo. For example how will the Arch Villain tournaments be handled? If some players only have 4 cities to play and others have 5 cities, the advantage would go to the player who can not travel to Cairo. I suppose you could hold tournaments for each group individually, but it would be nicer if everyone could play together.

Or maybe once in awhile if your time was limited you might, want to cut out that extra city.
I'm not sure it would be something used a lot, but it would be handy to have.

The ability to give more context to areas using the specific question method, whether that be via VH clues or other 'stuff', is an approach that we hope to pursue further.

Also we hope you like the way City News is now being used to develop storyline.

Shell even Cairo hunts are only 4 cities long....at least mine was lol.

I kinda agree with turtle on keeping the townie clues to Cairo, with them only in one city it makes it different and exciting but I could see it getting mundane if it were all cities. Having said that I would love to see each city having there own specific/unique way of solving clues......or is that a tad too much? :)
