The game's very simple. You just have to post a riddle, and the person who posts next should try answering it, and should post their own riddle.

Example:
Why do birds fly South in winter?

A human for Mr. Lacrimosa's riddle (old riddle and a well known one btw! Absolutely love this one, because of the explanation) : As a child/baby 4 legs (crawling), 2 as an adult (2 legs) and as an old person 3 (walking with a cane + 2 legs).

Nice one!

Ok. I've got one:

The paragraph below is very unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it?

"Gatsby was walking back from a visit down in Branton Hill's manufacturing district on a Saturday night. A busy day's traffic had had its noisy run; and with not many folks in sight, His Honour got along without having to stop to grasp a hand, or talk; for a mayor out of City Hall is a shining mark for any politician. And so, coming to Broadway, a booming bass drum and sounds of singing, told of a small Salvation Army unit carrying on amidst Broadway's night shopping crowds. Gatsby , walking towards that group, saw a young girl, back toward him, just finishing a long, soulful oration ... "

The most common letter in the English alphabet, "e" does not appear anywhere in the paragraph.

After finishing an Arch Villain Hunt, a detective begins to feel woozy, so he consults the local physician, who confirms that he has been poisoned!

The doctor tells him to fear not for although the poison is quite deadly, it can be easily cured. He gives him two bottles of pills and tells him to take one pill from each, no more and no less, every hour on the hour for the next twenty-four hours and he should be fine.

He warns the detective that any deviation from this would result in his death. The detective is frightened, but takes the first dosage right there in the doctor's office.

An hour later he is at home and his watch beeps telling him it is time to take his next dosage. He take the first bottle and shakes one pill into his hand. Then he grabs for the second bottle, but as he's shaking, a loud bang sounds outside the window causing him to drop everything in his hands.

The detective quickly checks the floor, and to his horror finds three pills lying on the ground. He knows that one of them is from the first bottle and two are from the second. Furthermore, the doctor only gave him exactly enough medicine!

He checks his watch, the doctor would be gone by now, and tomorrow being a Sunday he wouldn't be in!

Time is running out, can the detective do anything to ensure his survival for the full 24 hours?

Almost forgot, the pills are identical in every identifiable way shape and form, only the ingredients differ.

I believe the detective can ensure his own survival by getting another pill from the first bottle.
He now has four pills, two from each bottle. The detective will now cut each pill exactly in halves and eat one half of each pill, corresponding to exactly 1 pill from each bottle. Then in an hour, he will eat the other half of the four pills and is back on schedule.
