Custom toolbar allowed?

As a new player, one of the more frustrating things for me is navigating around the map. Not that it's confusing or anything like that. My problem is more that in order to get from talking to a suspect to checking their alibi at... say the bartender, I have to click 'Leave' (or 'Map' on the top) then the bar, then the bartender.

To make it easier on myself, I've made myself a custom toolbar that loads up into a frame on the right side of the page. It looks like a standard File, Edit, View, etc. menu except it goes Case, Map, Detective, City Hall. By holding the mouse over each, a dropdown list of links that are accessible from each of the corresponding game tabs appears. Some of those expand even more. For instance, I can go Map->Bar->Other Customers and get to the chat. Or I can go City Hall->Research Case and go to the research page.

None of links allow me to go to places I shouldn't, I just want to make sure I'm not breaking any rules by using it. Also, if it isn't breaking any rules, I can send it to anyone that wants it.

To help get a better idea of what I'm talking about: here's a picture of it in action:

nah dude you're safe as houses. can't see as it's much different to using a lot of tabs for different things you are constantly using. it's not like you're 'botting the suspect interviews.

I use it in firefox but it probably works in most browsers. It's not up to any code guidelines or anything, just basic html and a script I got from http://javascriptsource.com/

Here's a download link for the tool for anyone that wants to try it out: http://www.sendspace.com/file/rnva76

Inside there's a Sleuth.html and a Toolbar.html
Opening the Sleuth.html will have Sleuth:Noir load up in the left frame and Toolbar.html open up in the right frame.

If you want to add your own links to a tab or change the whole thing in general, it might help you to know that the menu javascript came from here: http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/cascading-menu.html
