Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Here are two riddles I posted before, but no one answered. Anyone care to take another shot at them?
1
What builds up castles, tears down mountains, makes some blind and helps others to see?
2
Why is a raven like a writing desk?

For the first one I'm gonna say water because you need water to help build sand castles, water can erode a mountain, and man if you get salt water from the ocean in your eye that stuff can certainly blind you for a little bit, but if you get somethinng in your eye you can rinse it out with water.
For the second question I'm clueless!!!!!
