Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.
Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

Absolutely, 42 is the answer to everything, and I have that one on very good authority.

Well, Special K, honestly I did not get this riddle out of the Hitchhikers, and this riddle is not yet found online if you google search it, or use any other mega search engines...
However, it still remains that 42 is incorrect.

It shouldn't matter if it came from a HHer or not.
They say that 42 is the ultimate answer to the universe.
Your argument does not convince me otherwise. You will have to do better! :)

42 is the ultimate answer to the universe according to Adam Carter's science fictional novel "The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy"...
Adam Carter says: "The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations, base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do' I typed it out. End of story. "
If you don't believe me, then read this article on Wikipedia:

Message to Special K: Just because your in the Hitchhiker's agency of New York doesn't mean that you can use Douglass Adam's "The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy" answer number 42 from the super computer.
