Hello all.
I'm fairly new to Sleuth and I thought I might share a little hobby of mine with you all. Here's something for that sad moment when the mysteries of the day are all done.

Thousands lay up gold within this house,
but no man made it.
Spears past counting guard this house,
but no man wards it.
What is it?

the fact that they were married is relevant huh? Would an unmarried man have reactes the same way?

Serges: Yes, the sign was informative. No, it was not persuasive.
crunchpatty: Yes, I think an unmarried man may react in the same way.

Does his shooting her have anything to do with something in the past? Was the sign some sort of reminder? Or a revelation of sorts?
