I first found this game a couple years ago on a Nancy Drew site, when I was bored during the summer. Playing unsubbed seemed fun enough at the time. This was way before Shades came out. It wasn’t until I left the game for RL and came back a couple years later that I understood what I was missing by playing unsubbed. When I learned how the game worked due to lets of help from friendly players, suddenly things became much easier to understand and much more exciting.

After subbing, so many doors opened up. I got to travel to new cities, play more cases, join agencies, chase villains, discover secrets, become challenged by various puzzles and riddles, and most importantly of all (in my opinion), make wonderful new friends. I currently have two subscribed detectives, and I couldn’t love the game any more than I do now.

I must say that chatting with people on here is the highlight of my day. Barchat always makes me laugh and puts a smile on my face. Role playing on the message boards is a great way to express your creative side. The community is awesome and there is never any shortage of kindness. Help will always be given, so don’t hesitate to ask. :D

I found Sleuth Noir 5 years ago. I just stumbled upon it. I was actually searching for Mystery Books, I believe....I can't really remember but I know it didn't have anything to do with games. lol

I saw Sleuth Noir in the search results, and was like "Well what's this" . I checked it out, and I must say that I was instantly hooked.

I subscribed shortly after finding the game, and once I joined my first agency, which was Behind Closed Doors, I was a Sleuth addict. i don't think I had time to sleep. lol I would do all my cases, plus what was in the case files, and wait impatiently for turn over, just to get more cases.

I think I played steady for 2 years, then after that, I stepped away for a bit. I think so people in my real life could get reaquainted with me LOL

However, I always come back to this game. Even if Im not actually playing the game, I do come back, and visit the message boards. I think that once you become apart of the community, it is like family....like you come 'home'.

I'm sure some would agree on that. I'm what you call a 'Lifer' :) Even if I wouldn't play the game ever again, I will always keep coming back, just to keep up with what is all going on in the Sleuth world.

I will always love Sleuth Noir, and be thankful for the few friends Ive made on here :) Whether it be those I talk to in PM, in the agencies Ive been in, or just people I've roleplayed with on the message boards :)

I also enjoy helping the new ones coming up. I actually enjoy doing that more these days, than doing anything for myself. Although there are a few things yet for my detective to accomplish, I feel I've accomplished alot, and pretty much have all that I need so....helping others is more fun for me now :)

So, for the new detectives, if you see me logged on, and you have a question, or need any help at all, do not hesitate to PM me, and ask for my help. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way that I can :)

If I dont have the answer, I will guide you in the right direction, to get the help you need :)

That is one of the wonderful things about this community! For the most part, everyone here is friendly, and always willing to help! The Sleuth Community rocks, and I'm very glad to be apart of it, even though I'm not as active on the boards right now. I'm just a silent bystander, at the moment : )

Sleuth Noir rocks :)

Hmm. Lets see I first found Sleuth Noir in late 2006. I was doing a crappy desk job but had internet access. Like Ctown I had been looking for a way to play clue online. I have always had a deep love for mysteries. I stumbled upon this little diamond and started playing. I finally got a sub. but was put on a forced hiatus. I had just kinda left it alone. I actually would check back in from time to time but wouldnt play. Then a few months ago I started playing again. I think it was the message board that got me back. But I talked my wife into letting me get a new subscription and here I am. I like the friends I have made here. Im glad Im back.

I started playing Slueth a couple years ago. I was hooked instantly. I love mystery writing and solving cases in Slueth online is relaxing and fun. I left the game for awhile, but is now back. There is much I have forgotten but I'm sure I will pick up again as I play the game regularly. I would love to do the bar chat and meet new people also.

Do you love mysteries? Do you think you could be a great detective in real life if given a chance? Well, here's your chance, in Sleuth Noir! It's a whodunit game with twists. Play this game and you can say to yourself that you are a great detective - in sleuth world.

Do you love role playing? Check out the role playing thread. Do you like interacting with the other players? Visit the bar chat or send them PMs. Or if you would just rather solve cases, do treasure hunts or go villain hunting, go ahead and do them all. Always remember if you need help, there are great players here that will be glad to help you.

Noir is totally different. It's addictive. Once you start playing, you can't stop. I guarantee you that!

I would like to say that this site is one of the best things to ever happen to me. Two years ago I thought my life was over. I had just been fired from the Sizzler for handing out change with my picture on it (I swear Dartowski Dollars are accepted everywhere!), my neighbor figured out I was the one stealing his paper, King Soopers banned me from the sample trays, and my iguana threw up dead flies all over my couch and refused to clean it up. Yep it looked like my best days were behind me. Then I had a vision. Several actually. Then the next thing I knew I was in a holding cell with the Trix Rabbit coming down off of a bad trip... Where was I again?

Oh right Sleuth! All my life people have always told me I'm wrong. "Sean this is a one way!" "This is the ladies room Sean get out!" "I don't have to prove there's a law against driving nude, get out of the car now!" "Sean,I enjoy your enthusiasm for the RP-stage,but please,pm me if you want to join. Now I have to apologize again -.-. Just.. Just pm me when you want to join :s"

But here? Here people say they love me! I go to chat and people celebrate! They run up and hug me. I don't even get that in RL because I don't shower. In RL people ignore me but not here! Oh not here! I'm considered one of the great RPers and get loads of fanmail!

One reason to subscribe? Subscribers get a number to call if they have any problems with the site! That's right someone will actually talk to me and call me sir!

In closing I'd like to say that it's an awesome community. I finally have facebook friends because of it! (Look me up Sean Dartowski) Think of how much fun you have now and multiply that by ten with a subscription. C'mon and sub the community is waiting for you.

If you don't, I'll come to your home on your favorite holiday disguised as a beloved pet. Oh you think I won't? Believe me, I love table scraps too :p

Even though I posted what sounded like my testimonial in Lucy's Cabaret thread, I'd like to post one here too.

I love the game. Obviously. Can't wait to see what more it has for us, which is basically why I keep messing up(too experimental a sleuth behavior)

But I paid a visit just to express my gratitude:

People are lovely here. Their loveliness hasn't much to do with site's income whatever. They tend to all questions, not just the ones posed by the subscribed detectives.

They share their time with you to let you have more fun out of the game.

They treat people very kindly and the most experienced players, they are very kind too. They will answer any question either by PM or foloowing post replies.

Some of them will even celebrate the new day with you, like DaRu :)

I had never thought that a game site could/would elicit a sense of belonging. This may sound too corny but yet it is how it looks like from here.

I think internet users have become more and more rude over the time and forum-like websites that allow communication are very destructive in terms of mood, good will whatever.

But this site is a very positive one. A sincerely positive one. Love it. Hope I'm gonna be able to hang around here many years long. Thanks everyone, for the simple fact that you are very kind.
