This day in my life

Alright. This is somewhat of a collective diary where you give a short account of your day, or part of it. I'll start out.

Today I helped my friend clean his café. Later I had a shower and went down to my favourite bar and this girl came in who thinks she's "all that" (she's even told her friends I've been coming on to her) and I got the chance to ignore her completely. It felt damn good. I had a cup of coffee on the way home and now I'm sitting in my bed about to go to sleep.

This day in my life, I was faced with an important question to ponder: if you are hit on in a poetry section of Barnes and Noble, does that automatically give the person who is hitting on you bonus points for sophistication? Since I'm a simple lass of 18, and both of the men in question were balding, paunchy 40-somethings with sweat rings and maniacal leers, extra points would not, I daresay, have gotten them any farther. In fact, I wasn't even in the poetry section, since most poetry is too presumptuous for my tastes, but since in this BN, the Theatre and Dramatic Arts section is right next to it, you do the math. I suppose Shakespeare is the connecting factor. Anyway, said men made several suggestive advances and when I calmly rebuffed them while simultaneously searching for my favorite monologue in "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" (Paul Zimmer), they then made some creative and crude suggestions as to where I could put the book I was holding before departing huffily. I was quite astounded, and had to ponder the complexities of this odd occurence all the way to the check-out. I'm not sure why frat-boy throwbacks would be haunting the poetry section. Usually you just find tortured angsty beret-wearing Greenwich Village-esque artist types. I was suitably impressed at the gall of these men.

Aw. You're all shy?

Had a blast in Shangri-La today. Then went for a beer at my favourite bar. Now I'm at my favourite café and shortly I will go home to my favourite girl to watch one of my favourite movies.

Toodles.

So far today...

I woke up, fell back asleep for 10 min until my roomie's alarm went off, then I got up, finished my paper (I really need to improve my Conclusions), printed it off, went to Chemistry (in which I doodled and came up with a story idea), went to English (in which I participated in a debate that got half the class extremely annoyed and turned in the aforementioned paper), then went to print off sheet music, ate lunch (I would tell you what it was, but I do not know... twas yellow and lumpy with a slightly cheesy taste, but the texture did not lend itself to be thought of as macaroni), got back to the room, got on here, worked on my SM, did some hmwk, played a few cases, worked on my SM, and will shortly be preparing to head off to classes, after which I will race back, eat dinner, do more hmwk, and then get on here.

Past, present, and future in one, extremely run on sentence. :)

Autumn is here. I'm at my favourite café (located in the top of a water tower) again enjoying the best view in town. You can see everything. All the trees are changing colours and the forested areas are beautiful. The sun is breaking through the clouds and bathes everything in light.
