Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

That's all! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

To clarify, the above is merely a referendum and does not count towards this week's contest.

Thank you to the judges: Vulkie3, ctown28, and Ms Helen. The votes are in for this week's entries. The winner of Scripted Mystery Scramble is... Joseph Zeo. Congratulations Joseph!

That being said, the judges expressed a desire to play all of the stories and hope that you'll turn them into scripted mysteries.

Everyone please PM me your votes within 24 hours.

Welcome Cherokee tribe to your fourth elimination. With only four contestants to go, we are truly down to the wire. The three who are not eliminated tonight will move on to the final challenge. Unfortunately, we must say goodbye to another contestant tonight. The votes are in, and the contestant who received the most votes is... Violet Parr.

Violet, your fellow contestants couldn't produce a good reason for eliminating you. Literally that's what I was told. As the last, and highest placing former Comanche, you have certainly proven yourself to be an exemplary player. I'm sorry, but the tribe has spoken and the curtain has fallen on the great queen of the roleplay stage. I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope this return to Noir proves to be a permanent one. Even though you didn't win, I'm sure you wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Violet, this one's for you:

CHALLENGE #11 We Built This City On...?- So you've made it to the final three. You've hung in there till the bitter end, and now you think you deserve that coveted trophy? Well tough! I still have one final challenge to throw at you, and you had better nail it if you want to win!

Your goal for this week is to design Sleuth Noir's newest city*. You must include a map (400 x 360) including legend, a list of townies and their functions (meeting text optional), a list of amenities & optional quests (i.e. Race Track in Shanghai, Library in London, Post Office in Delhi, Boardwalk in New York, *censored* in Cairo), any factions that may exist in the city, and a short proposal on how it will improve the game.

*does not have to be a city, may follow in the vein of the Sleuthetania.

You will once again be judged by a panel of eliminated contestants!

The contest will end on February 18, 2010 at 11:59 SST. You may choose to post your entry here, or send it to the Sleuth Survivor address and I will host it with the other files.

Good luck tribe! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast

*sweeps everyone a low respectful curtsey*

I loved the song and know, Heim, that I would not have missed that particular dance for the world! Not only did I immensely enjoy your wonderful wizard of oz contest, I also made some good friends and gotten to know some of the most talented players of which Sleuth Noir boasts.

I have now been outwitted, outplayed and outlasted… but only by the very best… I wish JZ, Riza and Miss Nin the very best in this most challenging final contest and would like to let them all know that I will be following their every progress and cheering every single one of them on…

And to you, Heim, thanks once more for dragging me out of the shadows and giving me truly the best time I ever had on sleuth ever since the role playing stage first emerged in ’07.

*nods politely*
