Do you have what it takes to outlast all others? Do you think you can rise above the rest and stand out as the ultimate contender? Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Survivor: Sleuthville!

10 Detectives enter, face off against each other in a different challenge every week, and the last left standing will be crowned Sleuth Noir Survivor! The winner will walk away with a one-year subscription to Sleuth Noir and bragging rights over the entire community. The rules are simple:

1. The first ten Detectives to post an entry will be entered and placed on two teams of five.

2. It's advisable to be subscribed. Some of the challenges may require travel, and if you can't participate, it's likely your team will vote you off at elimination. I won't bar anyone based on this, but it's your call.

3. The losing team at the end of each event will have to vote off one member. To do that each team member will submit a PM to me, which will remain anonymous with the name of the person he or she is voting for, and a short reason why. It can be as simple as-

Name: Heimlich VonVictor
Why: He didn't write any of the poem. It's no wonder we lost!

4. Challenges will be one week long and a winner will be announced at the end, in the event of a tie, a coin will be flipped.

5. Anyone may enter including mods, editors, or even Ben and Sunny themselves if they so choose.

6. The contest will begin when all ten detectives have entered and been placed on teams. It will conclude after nine weeks of elimination challenges.

That's all! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

**Tribal Council**

As the Comanche Tribe walked into the Tribal Council area, Heimlich VonVictor’s voice sounded deep and rich: “Comanche Tribe, welcome to Tribal Council... Grab a torch and get yourselves some fire. In this game fire represents life. As long as you have fire, you have life in this game.”

Once everyone placed their now lighted torches behind them and were seated in their place, Mr. VonVictor looked to Miss Violet Parr. “Before we get to the voting, Miss Parr, how has life been on the Comanche beach so far?”

“Fine, thank you for asking...”

“No complaints about the weather?”

“Well, if you cannot be happy or excited about something, the best you can do is to accept it.” Miss Parr smiled. “Besides, complaining is rude.”

Heimlich smiled approvingly. “Why do you think Comanche lost the last challenge?”

“Well, having given the matter some thorough thought, I believe it is because we focused entirely on the writing of the proposal.” Violet started. “We were not as creative or inventive as the Lenape Tribe when it came to all the extras that must have won the judges over.”

Heimlich turned to Aknas. “So Aknas, what are the team dynamics like on Comanche? Are you happy with your team?”

“Well, yes...” Aknas spoke, slightly startled by the sudden question, “We are all still getting to know each other better but we are a good team and we will hopefully win the coming challenges.”

“Let us start the vote, Miss Snopes, you’re up first...” Mr. VonVictor nodded towards Miss Snopes.

...

“I’ll go tally the votes...”

...

“Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I’ll read the votes…”

One member of the Comanche tribe has not voted yet. I'm giving this person until 19:00 tonight before her vote is forfeited and I post the results and next challenge.

Welcome Comanche Tribe to the first elimination. The votes have been tallied and the reasons have been accounted for. While not everyone agreed on who to vote for, one person did receive more votes than anyone else, and the reasoning was uniform in every situation. The first person to be voted off of Sleuth Noir Survivor is… Kyle XY Rocks.

Kyle, no one who voted for you had a single bad thing to say about you. Their reasoning for doing so, and this was uniform throughout, was that they were afraid your unsubscribed status may be a hindrance in future challenges. That being said, not every member of your team voted for you!

Unfortunately, you were the one who received more votes than any other player, and thus we must say goodbye. The tribe has spoken.
Kyle you stood tall without fear among giants, and no one can doubt your competitive spirit :)

This one is for you:

CHALLENGE #2- In Search of Watson

What would Sherlock Holmes be without Dr. Watson? Indeed it is our sidekicks that make us the great detectives that we are sometimes. Last week you mastered the art of enticing newbies, and this week you will be putting what you learned into practice. Teams will take one week to recruit as many sidekicks as possible, making use of your personal sidekick coupons.

The team that recruits the most sidekicks combined will receive immunity from elimination. Should both teams score a big goose egg, both will go to elimination! Oh no! In addition, the person who recruits the most sidekicks will be given a choice to either find out the name of the next challenge or a hint towards it, 24 hours before it is posted!

Current sidekicks do not count towards your total, which I know comes as a great disappointment to four of you. The final tally will be taken at 19:00 Sleuth Time on October 20, 2009. It’s a great feature that doesn’t get nearly enough use, so make some use of it and bring your team to victory! Good luck teams! Get out there and outwit, outplay, and outlast!

On an unrelated note, please tune in to Sleuth Talk Radio this weekend for a special Survivor: Sleuthville Announcement!

Mr. VonVictor,

Seeing that Comanche has only five members now we are at a slight disadvantage in this challenge, which is all about the numbers.

Are you going to disregard a member of Lenape's contribution as a result? Or perhaps their member with the least contribution to this challenge?

After reviewing Survivor's Rules, I found that you are correct.

"When one tribe has more players than the other tribe, it must designate players to sit out of tribal challenges so that equal numbers compete. No person may sit out twice in a row or, if this is not possible, no person may compete twice in a row. In some challenges requiring the same number of men and women to compete from each tribe, a tribe may be required to sit out a certain gender as well."

The Lenape tribe will bench one member of their own choosing for this challenge. While I can't stop this person from gaining sidekicks, as it's a fundamental part of the game, they will not count towards the total. Lenape please let me know which tribemember will sit out.

Heimlich, if you're following Survivor's Rules here, I think you forgot to add the familiar line - "Remember that a tribe member may not sit out of back-to-back challenges." =P

Does this mean that the tribe member that has to sit out is immune from being voted off in the event that Lenape loses the challenge? I mean it wouldn't be his/her fault that the challenge was ls tif he/she couldn't participate

"In some challenges requiring the same number of men and women to compete from each tribe, a tribe may be required to sit out a certain gender as well"

The tribe members of Comanche looked at each other, and the question was in the air... It was finally miss snopes who said what everyone thought of...

"Who wants to undergo a gender change operation?"

"If it's required that we have the same number of men and woman competing from our tribe, we will need at least one man?"

(note: I do not know anything about what's going on in the tribes, and don't want to offend anyone. What I write is entirely meant to entertain and give thoughts, and it's all based on fiction)
