As you may all know,we need to have certain skills to be good in solving cases. Luckily for you,I have a site that I use and it is really handy to determine what skills you want to have :

This site can be useful. It has some walkthroughs for scripted mysteries,little job answers for factions and as I already mentioned,a broad view for skills.

Look at this carefully and you can easily determine which skills are useful for your detective.
Also,there is a description of how many points the skill costs,what it's for and if it's really desirable (so if it's neccesary or not).
