Everyone has suggestions for new things they would like to see in Sleuth. Well, this is a thread for those ideas. Just post a one or two line synopsis of your concept(s), with a small additional informational blurb if two lines is not enough to capture it. Discussions regarding specific ideas will take place in a separate thread, to keep this one running smoothly. Please do not include complaints, critiques, or other discussion on this thread, for purposes of flow. Anything that is not specifically done for the purpose of outlining an idea will be deleted.

All ideas will be considered; even if no discussion thread for them is immediately started, don't lose heart. Ready, get set, post!

Ok lets all rememenber...this is a suggestion box, not a reply box. Everyone's suggestion is welcome and should be left at that. This isn't a place to debate what someone suggested could do instead or a place to put down other people.

So that being said, let's keep the thread on topic., and while I'm at it...there are great suggestions here people. Let's keep the minds flowing with ideas :D

Thanks!

lol ok so from this point forward... > just ideas. I'm about to go back and retrospectively clean up this post *sigh*. DOUBLE sigh as this means me deleting about 12 of my posts. LOL. SO apologies to all who feel miffed their witty rejoinders and 'what he said's are being deleted, but I'm sure like me you'll gt over it and enjoy the sterility err I mean the maintained purity of this thread :D

........ good ideas resume ........

Postscript... apologies to anyone who had a bit of an idea deleted whilst critiquing someone else idea. If any of the other mods want to have a prune as well go for it.

I know this has been said before, but I don't think on this thread.

Is it at all possible to edit your own posts? Or delete them? That would be amazing! I know many other forums have that option, even if only for 15 minutes after posting. It would be a big help! Thanks!

How about an RP chat channel? A few people in chat have mentioned it so they can discuss RP together.

I want to give this idea it's due credit: Irene!

I like the idea that if you've clammed enough townies and suspects that you end up needing to call a rescue team because you get stuck somewhere. It could be a fun additional twist and make people slightly more conservative players. It could be different in each city:

Delhi - "While on your way to question another suspect you get lost in your musings and end up in a part of Delhi you don't recognize"
And then you can either pay$20 for a guide back to a contact or ask someone who's also in Delhi to help you out.

Something like this would add another dimension and maybe, just maybe encourage more interaction between sleuthers.

I also think the fee should remain nominal because it should be a fun twist, not cost prohibitive.

In addition to or in conjunction with (or whatever!) Irene's idea posted by Laura Vo (stops to breathe):

Getting lost in a strange part of the city and needing help finding your way out would also work with a failed attempt at Surveillance. "I was so busy making sure I didn't lose sight of Suspicious Person that I failed to keep track of how we had gotten to where we were, and there wasn't a taxi in sight."
