I am writing an Intro right now and I was wondering what is acceptable language for Sleuth?

I thought it would be a good thing to know for this intro and for SMs.

I can PM an editor what I want to say and then they can tell me if it is okay or not, if you'd like.

Thank you!

:D

Yes I do have a similar question. I've just submitted my SM and there are two areas of doubt of which i'm leaving to the impartial judgement of the editors:

1) The word the young girl uttered to her mother in the first twist. (i've put an asterisk * to replace the vowel. if appropriate, the editors can even take out the * and use the original word, if the editors find the word really inappropriate, i guess we'd have to change it...)

2) At the ending, a certain body part was removed.... not sure if that'd fly. . .

Too bad Ms Helen didn't call in during the last radio show, i'd love to hear her voice.... or did she and i missed it?

Ok Joseph having taken a look at your ending I think I can safely that the second one won't be in the final edit. Although I thought it was hilarious and had a laugh reading it :)

The first one, well, a couple of us have discussed it and it could possibly work, so we'll say it's a maybe ;)

And I'm sure I'm going to regret asking this but why would you love to hear my voice? I think Adam C will vouch for me when I say it's really boring :)

Ah too bad, because that's exactly what everybody said (that they laughed but don't think it'll make the cut). Oh well, i'm totally okay with this. I do very much agree with the PG13 policy. Sometimes i just dunno where to draw the line myself (haven't been 13 for a LONG LONG time!, and don't have a 13 year old lying around either. my world's basically kids free...unfortunately....)

Actually Helen, i forgot why i would love to hear you voice... i wrote that post right after ctown's radio show, and thought that you'd call in (details muddled now).... i have no idea... sorry if i disappoint you with this answer....

I remember my nephew being about 8 saying to me very sagely in the car after school, "I know the C word". After I slammed the anchors on to stop from ploughing through the School Crossing, he says very guiltily, looking over his shoulder as if his mum or dad are about to jump out from the back seat and say I HEARD THAT, "crap". He follows that up with "But I don't say it!" "Good for you", I say demurely, not even pointing out he just has, and drive off trying not to laugh.
