"EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!" shouted the newsboy on the corner.

"FAMOUS TREASURE MISSING! EXTRA EXTRA"



I paid him his dime and took the paper back to my place to read about this newest case. Apparently the 'Stone of Black Drambuie' had been transported from the Museum of London to a display in New York. The captain of the ship was sure the Stone was securely on board when it left London but when it arrived in New York there was no Stone to be found.

I studied the picture on the front page. It was of people milling on the dock. I thought I recognized someone......

Walking on the street,looking for some great news. Lenny,the paper boy,yelled that a famous treasure was missing. I asked which treasure. ''For a small fee sirre,I can tell ye everything ye want'' Lenny said. I didn't like the Scottisch accent of Lenny,but I paid him 5 dollars. ''Its the Black Drambuie Stone sirre. Legend says,it gives the possessor of the stone great luck and money sirre.'' ''That'll do Lenny'' and I left.

Wandering towards the pier,I saw my old friend Joseph. I gave him a firm handshake and we both went off to go on an investigation.

Little did I know what was in the container which ''held'' the stone...
