What Can We Do to Help Sleuth?

Last night I spoke of some ideas I wanted to discuss with everyone on how to give a little kick-start to Sleuth. I would like to share these now and hear feedback. These things are not required of the Admin, but things we can do as a community to try to get things flowing again.

NOTE: Please do not bring up the development team. That ship has come and gone. This post is aimed purely at community-oriented initiatives, not changing the game itself.

Also, I would like to note that many players have been doing some really good things around here. The contests for free subs, ctown's radio show, AVH matches. I do not mean to discredit any of this. It's all wonderful. I just think we can do a little more :-)

#1 Advertising - Let's get out there and spread the word. This is a great little gem that we have found and there are probably others that would love it as much as we do. Do you belong to another internet site? A Group for Nail-Biters with Herpes? Post on the message board about Sleuth! (well maybe not that, but you get my meaning) Let others know outside of Sleuth what a great place this is. I would especially target (for Noir) adults who enjoy logic-type puzzles. That is what kept me addicted to this game for so long.

So sorry, allow me to rephrase me original post:

Let it be known, that here on the 91st day of 2009, Ben has broke his silence

Big congrats to Jas! You will be an amazing mod!

Thank you for explaining those things Ben!

I personally love the game and I am still discovering everything!

I would like a few things to be easier to pull off/write when it comes to SM's... like being able to inculde factions in the action without having to make extra suspects just to talk to bosses and being able to use vaults would be great as well! /wishlist

I will help search for that bag of gold krugerrands, Ben... or try to snag a rich husband... whichever I can find first.

OK, in typical Ben fashion, I'm going to arbitrarily and suddenly change course. The lesson here should be to be careful what you ask for when attracting the attention of a capricious admin.

The editing team has actually been doing a really good job and we don't necessarily need more fingers in that particular stew. After discussions with Ms Helen, Anikka and Squirrel I've decided to pare back the number of people who have editing rights to the three of them.

So there.

you're like the cute little niece or nephew that you insist must be brought round to visit and then you find they grew up into an surly emo teenager that just sits and looks menacingly at your cat. glad to have you back ben :D

But wait, there's more!

Please welcome the two newest Sleuth Moderators, Nicnic and CTown28. Both have been around for a long time. They have their own unique styles, but both contribute immensely to the community.

Oh yeah, I know what EMO is (Sunny and I googled it last week).
