i think it would be nice if we could get like 4 false accusations instead of 3. it is so easy to get three and it's so easy to get one by accident. also, shady gets really high. ive only been on for like 12-14 days and he is already over 20k for me. im tired of working hard and then having to spend all my money on shady. i know you don't have to get falses but still, getting 4 would be nice. or either shady can reduce the prices or something. the game is great, just those prices.

Thanks for bringing this up. I did before. I long ago stopped guessing, but on ocassion I goof up. I mean at 2 AM in the morning Madalyn and Maralyn seem like the same name. :) Last time I visisted Shady it cost me a pretty 350K. And I have to admit, if jstkdn ever retired, I would retire from the game completely. After building a character for 200 days, pooring my heart and soul into it....I would mourn the loss. :)

At this point, in order to play it safe (keeping more then double the Shady money in my account)....I have to be the richest detective in Sleuth to do so. This means I now, check 50 times before I accuse. This is getting annoyingly compulsive.

Technically I would be willing to pay Ben real dollars, if anything happened to jstkdn.

Bottom line is, pretty soon. Shady is getting so darn expensive, that I start wondering when the time comes....I simply can not afford it. Right now, I am already at 570K for a visit. To me that is rediculous for words, as 1 rediculous case earns me maximum 1070 dollars.

When will the day come where I will play easy cases only, to prevent to go bankrupt and not by accident falsely accuse?

Well, getting false accusations is a problem for everyone. I've only had to pay shady twice, thankfully. I don't know how much I have to pay now, but I don't even want to think of how much it is...

I have no issues quitting cases. Most of the time they are a reflection of my laziness....and proud of it!!!! What I am not so proud of, that I have identified a killer, and then still for some unexplained reason accuse the wrong person. Cuz that is plain dumb. :)

At one point, I was so paranoid about the price of shady that I turn into a miser and refused to buy any equipments which I deem "unneccesay". My agency partner wanted to get the bloodhound but I refused to pay my share :). Same thing happened, when she wanted to buy the Lucy's dress. We end up having some "arguments". I labelled her a shopaholic and need psychiatric help while she say I am the one who need help as I am holding on to false cyber money. hahaha. For me, what is so fearful about shady's price is not just the high amount but the UNCERTAINTY. All we know is that the price increase with your experience points but we dont know the actual formula. So no one really know how much we have to pay if we HAD to pay him today. I had asked for the formula in message board hoping that if I know how much I had to pay then I can manage my money better. There's no reply though. :) I am not complaining as I think its good that we don't get all the answers we want from the official source. This is afterall a suspense site. But this "suspense" is too costly. It may cost our "life". So I hope the community can work together and give some input on the price. Those who are having a false accuse now can state shady price and the experience point at that time. The last time I had a false accuse the price is: $70608/303040 exp pts (est. 23% of exp pts). Hopefully, from these figures we collect, we can estimate the price we had to pay and just do our own saving and set aside that amount.

Note: the last 2 times I had false accuse, I already found the culprit. Some unknown forces move my mouse and click on the wrong name! I suspect there is a poltergeist in my house! So, my problem is not about not willing to quit cases. Its the poltergeist.
