If there are any retired detectives here, you can simply transfer your subscription to us newbies. Just like me, most of the people here likes to solve mysteries. So, for those retired detectives, just transfer your subscription to some of us. In that way, you could give opportunities for us new detectives.
PM us if you want to ask something or if you want to test our skills.
Looking forward for this.

Also for those newbies that cant afford a subscription or dont have access to paypal, keep an eye on the game room thread. Sometimes there are free subs as a prize. I know first hand of a contest coming up soon where the winner will get a 6 month sub. This way you have to at least work for something rather than have it handed to you.
Mak is right, none of us are going to give up our subs because the det becomes retired, we either reactivate or acreate a new character for ourselves

Let me first tell you what happens if your detective is retired...
- when you try to log on to your detective, you cant, because it's retired.
- so in order to come in contact with a retired detective, you first need to re-activate the detective, but then it's not retired anymore.
- or you need to find a double of that character who is still playing the game... - but if there were a double that was still playing the game, the interest of transferring the retired detective to you would probably not be there....
also, if there is subscription time left with the retired detective, and there exists a playing double, that subscription would probably be transferred to the playing double...
- so actually, I cannot really understand what you want to gain by getting a detective transferred to you?
Some free subscription? Well, I think that most of this community loves the game so much that we want to use our money and the time we subscribe to make sure it is of support to the game. - not to give for free to someone who actually could pay for their own subscription. If you don't want to involve so much in the game that you actually buy your own subscription, I cannot see how giving you a subscription would make you involve more?...
I think that the best you can do if you are looking for a subscription and not pay directly for it, would be to involve in some of the competitions over in the game room, or sign up for those free subscriptions that were handed out from SleuthTips.com. - which I by the way have not seen anything to the last months, so it might be they are not functional or directed towards Noir anymore.

Anyway guys, thanks for all those tips you've given to us. Like the one with a free subscription contest. I didn't know about that. I also can't afford to pay here and I apologize for all of these. I'm really sorry to bother you guys. I really appreciated for those of you who gave us some advice. Thanks.
