Lil put up a sign, saying, "This is where we come up with a story and it ought to focus on something other than fellow detectives." on her front window. She had just opened up a pub where all kinds of characters could enter and talk about anything and everything.

Ctown had all he could take for one day. He decided to just leave while he still could, there was enough embarassment for one day. He got off of his stool and headed for the door. When he was almost there he spotted an unopened envelope on the floor. He picked it up and looked at it. The letter was addressed to Mackensie Brewer.

Ctown got an evil thought, what if he opened up her letter and read what someone was writing to her, she would never even know. Just as he was about to open it a little ctown angel appeared on his shoulder. "Ctown, don't you dare open that letter, don't you know it's illegal to read somebody elses mail?" He began walking over to Makensie when, on the other shoulder, a little ctown devil appeared, "Don't listen to that wimp, open the letter, it may be something funny, even something you could use to your advantage"

Ctown was torn between what he should do. After a few minutes Lil shouted over to him "Ctown, don't just stand there blocking the door, go out or get back to you barstool"

This snapped ctown out of his daze, he knew what he needed to do. He wlaked over to Makensie and handed her the letter. He then waved goodbye to everyone and headed out the door.

The rest of the bar couldn't help but to wonder what would happen on his next visit.

As Makensie looked at the envelope, she was wondering, "Who could this be from?" As she stared at it, Reese hollers, "Well come on cuz, open it!Lets hear it..enquiring minds wanna know" She looks at Reese, and says, "Mind your business. I wouldnt tell you what it says, unless it has to do with you" Reese grins, saying, "maybe its from a secret admirer,huh? Come on! Open it!"

She grumbles, takes a sip of her iced tea, then begins to open it. Taking the single piece of paper out, she begins to read it. Her face turns red, and she quietly puts the note back in the envelope. Reese chuckles, saying, "Mak is blushing. Woo woo, a love letter huh?" She waves her off, saying, "SHUT up, Reese" That makes her laugh louder.

It was from someone who definitely admired her, if u could call it that, but she sure wasnt going to share with anyone what it said, or who it was from. Making people wonder never hurt anything, and who said she was blushing?

Tucking the envelope in her coat, she gets up, saying, "Well, now, if u will excuse me, I must be going now. Will check back in later"

Reese says, "have fun,Makie! dont do anything i wouldnt do!" She turns and glares at her, as everyone just continued on with their business, but wondering what made Makensie leave so quick...and what did that letter say to make her, supposedly, blush?

She heads out the door, saying, "See ya later", over her shoulder.

It was a new day and ctown was feeling good. He could finally talk again and things looked promising. He made his way into the bar while waving to someone outside and shouting to them. "Looks great guys, thanks for the hard work, you all did a great job"

All the bar patrons were looking at him quizically. What could he be up to now and what woek was he talking about?

"Ying ,my good man, a round of drinks for everyone, in fact make it two rounds of drinks, on the house," he announced proudly.

Lil just looked at him, "Excuse me? On the house? Just what do you think your doing?" she asked.

"Look woman, I don't want no trouble from you, now either straighten up or get out of my bar," he told her.

"Your bar? Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?" she asked.

"You heard me, this is my bar, I am the owner now," he told her, "If you don't believe me just go look outside"

"What the hell are you up to now?" she asked as she walked outside. She didn't see anything out of the ordinary and had no clue what he was talking about.

"Look above the door," yelled ctown.

She looked up and there it was, a big sign that said "Ctowns Pub, Where The Customer is Always Right"

Lil sighed heavily, she didn't know how much more of this nonsense she could take, but she decided to make good use of it.

"OK, if your the owner now, then there is something you need to do. Someone made a "mess" in the restroom and it needs to be cleaned up. Go for it Mr. bar owner," she told him as she handed him a mop and pushed him into the restroom.

One thing that she couldn't quite put her finger on is where is he getting all the money for these silly escapades?

Lil decided that since she was maneuvered out of the pub, she'd take the long vacation she deserved. "Thanks Ctown. You have given me a way out. I'm more than happy that you decided to own the pub. That means you can't drink while you're here, not to mention while you're doing your other job. I can focus more on the agency, after I get back from my vacation," she told Ctown.

She packed up her things and the money she had made while working the pub. She bade her goodbyes and left.

Makensie was walking to the entrance of the bar, and just nonchalantly looked up, as she entered. Stopping suddenly, she backs up out the door, looking up again. "ctown's pub" She thought, Oh boy, this couldn't have set well with Lil.

As she walked back in, Lil was coming out with bags of things packed up. "Well, Lil, where you going?" , Makensie asked. Lil looked at her, then up at the new sign, "This is ctown's bar now. He handles it all now, so I'm taking this opportunity to go on a much needed vacation, and leave him to the duties involved here" Makensie smiles, saying, "Well, you enjoy you vacations" They both knew what each other was thinking, as Lil says, "You know this won't last long" Makensie chuckles, and says, "Of course it won't. He wont be able to handle not drinking, and cleaning other peoples mess up" They shared a laugh, as they bid farewell to one another.

Makensie walks in, and spots ctown sweeping the floor. "Congratulations on the new ownership of the bar, ctown", she says. "Well thank you Mak! I'm going to be loving every minute of it. Ying get my friend a drink on the house", ctown says, happily. 'Thank you c", she says.

As they are talking back and forth about general things, a customer comes up to ctown, and says, "Are you the owner here?" He replies, "Well, yes I am. Is there something the matter, sir?" "Yes there is. This food here I am eating, the meat isnt done. This is the worse steak Ive ever ate in my life. I want a new steak on the house, or my money back", the customer said, with great anger. Makensie felt sorry for ctown, as she watches.

ctown says, with great patience, "I am very sorry for this, I will immediately get you another steak, well done, and ofcourse, it is on the hosue" The customer was satisfied with that answer and walks back to his chair.

ctown walks back to the kitchen and scolded the cook, and told him to cook it well done..and if he couldnt do that...*more*

then he could just leave. ctown stood up straight, thought, This feels pretyy damn good,being the boss. He turns to go back into the bar, as the cook glares at him,while cooking another steak.

Makensie says, "Being the owner isnt all what its cracked up to be is it?" ctown shrugs, saying, "oh i dont mind at all. I can handle it" As he said that, another customer , who had way too much to drink got sick on the floor by the pool table. Makensie cringed. ctown, who didnt seem to mind, immediately grabbed a mop, and bucket and went to the messy area.

Makensie thinks, "I bet he isnt too thrilled of all this, when it keeps happenng more and more...."

As she begins talking to the other customers around here, the door opens, and in walks 2 gentleman with business suits on.

One walks up to the bar, and asks, "Where is the owner of the bar?" Makensie points over toward ctown, who is mopping the floor, and says, "He is right there" He tips his hat, and says, "Thank you ma'am"

They walk over, and ctown turns, when they say his name.

Makensie thinks, "Wonder who they are?"

Ctown greets the two men and exchanges pleasantries with them. He points over to the corner of the dining room. "Set it up over there, but hang a curtain first, I don't want anyone to see what you guys are working on," he tells them.

The two men, get right to work on ctowns top secret project.
