I'll probably start posting most Shades of Mystery related stuff on the message boards there, rather than here. There are a few things I wanted to clarify for Sleuth Noir players who are thinking of playing Shades of Mystery as well.


-- Subscriptions --

Subscriptions will be completely separate between the two games, and the final pricing scheme for Shades of Mystery is TBD. I was considering allowing Sleuth Noir players to transfer active subscriptions for a one time fee, but I'm afraid that doing that would drain too many people from the Sleuth Noir community.

Instead, we will be sending out coupons to all current Sleuth Noir subscribers for discounts on your first Shades of Mystery subscription. In order to make this fair, the longer you have left on your Sleuth Noir subscription, the bigger the discount you'll get to Shades of Mystery.


-- Account Names --

Names of active Sleuth Noir players (with more than a couple thousand experience) have been reserved for you on the Shades of Mystery server. If you want to reuse your name here, you will need to initially use the same password you have on Sleuth Noir. You can then change your password there if you like.

We did this to prevent people from stealing someone else's persona by beating them to the registration punch.

their active now ran. I used mine last night. And yeah I need to be reminded, I know oyu told us during Beta but I can't remember, will characters get reset after this reset as well?

Now that we have some info over in SoM on resetting and a potential start date I have one more question for those of us who are working on characters in both Noir and SoM.


When the final reset occurs, will we be able to keep the Name and Avatar for our detectives in SoM? or are those emptied out of the database also?

I would like to know when to create the Character I want to actually play there rather than beta test with.

I think it sucks that Admin has turned their backs on Noir...There is basically no interesting activity going on here now..because Admin is spending all their time here at Shades...

Considering we are paying players too dont you think the fair thing to do is to get something interesting started here.
