I have 2 questions.
1. When choosing weither to use Sweet Talking or Interrogate, does it depend on the people or your skills to make them talk?
2. When townspeople tell you that so-and-so think they know who the murder is, does it matter who that person origianlly stated as someone with a motive to commit the crime? Or can they think the murder is someone that they didn't name?

1. Both. In your caes I would get sweek talking, as you are smart and charming.
2. Not sure exactly what you mean.

Right!

1. You need only one set of skills, toughness OR charming. Then get all the levels of those skills that you can and all the gear that supports those skills that you can. As your character type is charming, don't bother with the tough skills.

2. I think I know what you mean. When you originally build your suspect list, you ask the other suspects if they know anyone with a motive for the crime, and they name names.

Then you might ask the townspeople if they know anything about the case, and they tell you a suspect thinks he knows or doesn't know anything, right?

And so you might go back to a suspect and ask them the other question, about having a reason to suspect someone of committing the crime, which is how you get witness evidence.

Do I have this right? So you are wondering, can they name somone they didn't name when they were naming motives? I am not sure. I think so. But it doesn't really matter.

Everyone on your list will have a motive. Not everyone will have someone else suspect them of the crime. If two people suspect the same person with reason like "I believe he tried to kill the victim a year ago," etc., then that person is guilty.

I hope this answers your question somewhat and is clear.
