Well, it's bedtime and I can't sleep. I wanna hear a story!!!

But not just any story, no... that would be too easy. I wanna hear a noir fairy tale.


THE PREMISE: Take a fairy tale and make it Noir.

THE RULES: * Must be based on an existing fairy tale - doesn't have to be a popular one, but at least point me to the original, if it's an obscure one.
* All entries must be posted no later than 11:59 PM, November 30, 2007.
* Spelling and grammar count.
* Please be realistic with story length. If it takes three posts to tell, it's too long!!

THE PRIZES: I'm workin' on it...but there will be prize(s).

I know the last couple of contests were on the restrictive and difficult side, and rewriting a fairy tale as Noir may not be the simplest thing, but there are very few restrictions and rules this time - so let's see what you've got!

S'hard to give up the the life size Ben plush toy as first prize when she's grown so attached to it... y'all might have to settle for the bobble headed crunchpatty doll that sticks to the dashboard of your car.

Since when did we have a car here? and where would we put toys? amongst our accessories, and what kind of stats would they have?

Okay, okay, okay. Sheesh, that drumroll's killing me!

So, still sorting prizes out, but if you REALLY want to know......

And an honourable mention (no prize involved, sorry) to Miss Violet Parr, who can fake a bruise like nobody's business.

Ahem... but well done to all, this was my favourite contest so far in terms of writing and reading.

But I'd just got this great deal on some drumsticks I was going to sell for the ongoing drumroll... bother! Out of pocket on that one!

Oooooh. 3rd place! :-) I agree with Stooby as this was my favorite contest so far. Even better than that baby pics someone ran not too long ago! ;-)
Can't wait for the next one to be announced!

Great entries by everyone, but lets all given a big round of applause once again for our currently unnamed judges and of course our lovely contest coordinator, Anikka.

As far as drumsticks go, the only ones I have are still leftover from Thanksgiving dinner! :-P
