This may sound stupid, but i really want to know if i can accuse someone by deduction?

Like, I have 3 suspects with no/fake alibi left. (Let's say person A, B, C)
I then try matching first PE with A and B, both not match. But I already bribed when match 1st with B, so C is left unmatched.

Same goes with another PE and all WE, But I'm so damn sure that C is guilty. Even when the case find didn't show matched PE and none WE.

Can I accuse suspect C base on this?

If you have eliminated EVERY SINGLE suspect except the remaining one with the false alibi, then yes, it's fairly safe to accuse. But if you don't have the evidence to back it up, it still is considered a guess. Yes, there are times when I'm 99.9% sure I'm right. This would be one of those times. Anything less than that, and I wouldn't be willing to go for it. I'm not that brave (or that rich ;-).

I frequently solve cases by deduction. I also use Dr Watson to help keep things straight.

If I have all except, let's say, two alibis confirmed and need two more fake alibis for that level of case, then I do not have to check their alibis - if I know I have all of my suspects. This is sometimes a good way to save your questions for the material evidence townies (ie the tailor, barber, etc.)

Be very careful using deduction! Sometimes you might overlook something and deduct falsely, eh? :)

Thanks folk.

What I ask is about the time that I'm really really 99.9% sure about the guilty one. All I ask is do i need the game to confirm the evident first, or i could go without it.

So I guess this is a 'Yes'.

Correct Dan, you do not need to uncover any evidence for the game to allow you accuse. You could in theory, open a case, accuse the first person without asking a single question or checking the crime scene. Though that would not be very wise.

I do not bother asking for an alibi when I know that the person has no way of having a PE in the crime scene. If I find clues like 'curly hair' and 'heavy person', I won't ask the suspect for alibi if he/she has straight hair and is a slim person.

However, as I have painfully found out yesterday, being less than 100% sure is quite the frustrating experience. Especially if you make Shady really rich. =(

Any way to frame Shady for a crime? =D
