Hi,

So I went to London and did a few cases but decided to come back to New York. Along the way, I picked up a library book that the London librarian wants. Considering the reward is $1000 and the trip is $2000, I was wondering what the benefit of returning it is? Do you get some sort of skill or favor?

Same thing with delivering packages. Yes, it's worth it to pick up the mission, but doesn't make sense to travel to specific cities just to get and complete the missions. So, by all mean pick it up, and the next time you're in whatever city, follow up as necessary. Definitely don't make special trips.

You'll find both under the 'Missions' area of your Detective Profile. They're fun little sorts of side-quests, and two of several that detectives can do. Once you come across a Mission, it's automatically accepted, and stored in the system. No, they don't go away until you complete them, so don't worry. Each Mission has its own particular reward; in the Package and Library Book missions, the rewards are money.
