there's an interview on mugglenet.com that has a link to JKR interview where she gives you some more after story, like that Harry becomes head of the Auror department etc. for those with a thirst to know more 'whatever happened to...'

Ooh, yeah I read that too SS. It was pretty good. Answered a lot of questions, but still so much of the in between is missing! But I suppose it's cause I just don't want it to end, lol.

I'm also really curious as to how Lily and James got together. She didn't like him in school cause he was all arrogant and teased Snape so much.

I know it said they got together much later, but it doesn't seem like James would've really changed. I mean, Sirius didn't seem any different, so it seems to me that James wouldn't be either. So why did she end up with him?

Good question...my guess that when Snape called her a *youknowwhat* she kinda ran off in a huff and wound up running into James by some chance. Seeing her in distress, James comforted her and showed her the nice guy that he really was. I mean, maybe the whole arrogant prankster thing was his way of covering up an insecurity or two.

But then again, that's how I would write it. Who knows what JK's explanation is?

*still fuming about JK's killing of Fred and prepping for lawsuit*

Yeah, James never came across as a likeable character too me.

As for the interview, what a cop out. It's like, "well, here's all the stuff I can't be bothered to write because I
m rich thanks to you suckers hahahahaahhahahaha" and that bullshit about Tonks and Lupin? Sheesh.

I think as we grow up we often have little 'epiphanies' about the kind of people we want to be rather than maybe who we actually are that moment in time. We all change and evolve as time wears on. (Even if we have convinced ourself we haven't!) Sometimes that's for the good, sometimes not. I kind of figured that's what happened to James. But yeah JKR could have filled that gap in.

I think JKR is like an old retired FBI agent that finally decides to come clean and dish the dirt on their former employer. It's probably quite liberating for her, and frustrating as hell for fans, to hear her waxing lyrically about all the things that happened 'after' the Deathly Hallows.

I agree with Lady Ruby. That interview was a total cop out. I'm kind of hoping that this book was just a big elaborate prank and that she'll make an announcment that the real book with be realeased shortly. That version won't kill off the people it killed off and have all that crap she so conveniantly left out and talked about in the interview.

*urgh* Curse you JKR!!!!!!!!!!

Did anyone notice that the dates did not match up with the gravestones? Harry turned eleven in the first book, which came out about five to seven(depending on where you live) years after he actually would have.

Harry was born in 1980 and she started writing the book in 1990. Seems right to me.
