Do specific questions to townies do anything?

When you're not working on a case, and you visit a townie, you can ask him a specific question. Is that in anyway useful? It seems that whatever I ask or type in, they always say :"I'm sorry. I don't know anything about that."

The questions you can ask for the most part will do you no good as an unsubscribed detective.

So as not to put up a spolier I suggest anyone really interested in knowing more about specific Townie questions check the Library section of Endeavour Investigations website out. Found at:
http://endeavour.investigations.googlepages.com/home
But Biggie was right, if you are not subbed there's not much you can do with the Townie question box.

Thank you Stooby, but I actually mangaed to figure it out on my own (only cuz I was desperate to meet with the Ambassador in London).
The only question that remains now is how to get to Cairo... :)
