***This is my opinion. Strictly my opinion.***

I've looked at the community, and anyone who's been here longer than 100 days is able to see that Sleuth activity has gone down the tubes. Dead. And what is to blame? The agencies.

Now, agencies aren't the root cause. Let's get that straight. But the way they have been operating is. The problems with agencies are (1) the quantity, (2) the purpose, (3) and the role they play.

Okay, first, the quantity of agencies. Not too long ago, there were about 20-30 agencies. All full at 12 persons each, coming to a total of roughly 240-360 people. That was a good amount. But now, we have almost 120 agencies. That's right. 600% of the amount we had about a year ago. Sure, some may argue that the community has grown, and it certainly has. But 600% growth? I don't think so.

*competitive...

obviously ben and sunny dont see it as a problem, again they have the final say, and if there is no roblem with them, then we all should stop complaining for what we have and dont have on sleuth and what we want to see happen here. Just be gald we have a great place to interact with players from all over the world!

Rhiemma, it may be perceptual, but I think that it's worth finding out if I'm crazy in my perception?

crunch, I'm not sure if the problem is that they aren't competitive enough, rather that there is no longer any competition.... Does that make sense?

and change with it. Not always for the better, but not for the worst either. Change is inevitable and much preferred to stagnation, but it can be pretty scary.

As has been said before, this is MY opinion. I value and appreciate all opinions expressed here and do not necessarily think any of them are right or wrong. They are opinions and we can agree or agree to disagree. It's that simple.

Maybe Ben and Sunny do see it as a small problem? --- We don't exactly know.

I'm not complaining... okay, maybe I am. But it's not about what we have/don't have. It's not something I'm begging Ben for because I want it. It's something I think we need to fix.

::chuckles:: as Crunch said... that's what happens when I take 30 min to write a post

and no, Jojo. I don't think you're wrong to ask the question. I simply see it differently. But, if you didn't ask the question, either someone else would in the future or heaven forbid, no one would. I prefer questions be asked. :D I just don't always agree with the answers or see the problem.

Hmmm... the idea of change/growth fits in.

I think we may be at the point where we're starting to grow, so things are changing. But we don't have enough people to fill in all the spots (enough to VH and enough to treasure hunt), so we're sorta stuck in the middle?

I dont see Sleuth as being broken and thereofr needs fixing. Sleuth to me is more of a individual game. Even though we have agencies and work together we worrk on our own detectives at our own pace and own time...something that will never change.

Oh, agreed. Sleuth doesn't need fixing, but I think the community aspect of it needs a bit of fixing/improvement.
