The game is set anywhere between the 1920's and the 1940's. Many of us tend to go with the middle, and choose the 1930's. (Small hint to newbies--personal computers, cellphones, television, and IPODs were all NONEXISTENT back then. Think of the stuff your grandparents and great-grandparents used to use--record players, rotary dial telephones, jukeboxes and telegraph communication were all used back then.) ;-)
