I was left with 2 suspect with both a p.e. but could not check their alibi.
One of em has two w.e. while the other has one (w.e.)
Can i safely accuse the first? Or better quit the case?

Directly from the Welcome Newbies thread....

PE+Fake/"none of your business" Alibi=guilty
WE+Fake/"none of your business" Alibi=guilty
2 WE = guilty

PE=Physical Evidence WE=Witness Evidence

It works every time. :)

Well i just accused someone i could not check their allibi, i had 2 EW 1 PE and It still said i was wrong.

Thankfully i paid off that creep in the bar to clean my record first or else i'd be out of a job now.

I have never had 2 WE without the person being guilty. Are you sure you clicked on the correct person? I know the names can often be very similar (Delhi and Shanghai drive me crazy!)

Positive, i don't go by names most times, i go by positioning.

Suspect number 2 had 2 EW, and a thread at the scene of the crime and the silk guy is my only trusted contact.

1 EW only saw him wearing the victims watch, does that matter? I mean that wouldn't convince me that someone is guilty but hey i don't know how it works here.

If you come across a case like that, you can submit the case name and the circumstances to Admin in a bug report. 2 WE=Guilty.

In 2 1/2 years, I've seen many cases where people thought they were sure, and in the end, it turned out to be a case of mistaken note taking. Even I've been certain, and in double checking, I had to blush that I read the eye witness info wrong.

Also its good to remember suspects dont hold there position on the list. So if you uncovered new suspects they can change your list. You say you go by their position... could be that you suspect "moved" :P

Yeah, I'm gettin' on the Reda train here...positions on the list are variable. I've never heard of someone with 2WE not being guilty either.

As to your question about the watch - no, that doesn't matter. The specifics of the WE are just there for flavour; the reason they give is irrelevant.

Jumping on this wagon. As you increase the suspect list, the suspects change positions. 2 WE has never failed me.

Same goes here, I'm sure it was a bug or a note taking error Matteo :)
