In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

*sends Ms. Helen a dozen hand-dethorned roses perched upon a moleskin pillow, 3 jigolos with nice abs, a recession-buster sized bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, a dribble bib, a Barry White CD and a silken mood thong because I was pretty sure I was going out on that one and she's just wicked and deserves good things*

Vote Canoe socks! (yeah that oughta secure the Canadian vote)

I think I'll shout out for Rhiemma Moon (aka Della Divine), and Breitkat in the next bracket. They've always amused me (in such a good way) with their roleplaying, and had my respect with their enthusiasm for, and dedication to Sleuth, full-stop. How many times have we seen Breit chasing Missy across Sleuthville after tearing up someone's office, and Rhiemma with all her other RL commitments is still finding time to organise Sleuthcon.

Yep, if its about the best then these two Sleuths definitely qualify.

Vote for Rhiemma and Breitkat.

Opening my big mouth to say VOTE FOR BREITKAT!

What a classy lady! Since I met her, she's been nothing but helpful and informative. She roleplays constantly and wonderfully. She often helps out with "how does it work?" explanations on the boards. She ROCKS!

I realise that a vote for Breitkat is not a vote for Barry Grant, and I'm sincerely thinking of going to Serges' house to beat him with a rabid wombat for this pairing. Because, seriously, Barry rocks, too.

But vote for Breitkat because she has one thing that no other sleuth in Sleuthville has - Missy!

Compensated endorser Alex Trebek walks into the mix (see, I used a Canadian this time to get that hockey vote) and says:

"Vote for Serges because in the span of his entire lifetime, he has never once eaten a baby." (Gotta get that family demographic, too)

Serges then walks in and rolls 2d4 (in order to appease the role-players) and casts Magic Missile on a pile of Nancy Drew books (sorry, some groups I just refuse to cater to...)

So remember, a vote for Serges is a vote for Canadian game show hosts, middle America, 3rd-person hijinks, and all that is Sleuthy!!! (Except for Nancy Drew...)

Well, at least you weren't attacking the darkness...
