In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

Please begin sending your nominations and entries to me ASAP, and good luck!

Wow, 3 al-Qahirah members I have to speak for here :)

Emma has a very warm and loving personality. She is always enthusiastic and up for anything. She's a creative role player and has a great sense of humor, and is always there to help or listen or motivate us to do better. She really takes care of us and has stood by me and supported me when I was down, we're so lucky to have her.

Clara Dark was one of al-Qahirah's very early members, when we were still a very young agency in a Large Office. She's been with us through thick and thin and this agency wouldnt be what it is now without our most ambitious member, not mention crazy Villain Hunter.

John Q. Publik, well other than the fact that he's the love of Tinuviel's life in role playing, he was the one who made al-Qahirah possible. We built it together from scratch, he coming from Omega and I from the Closers, and even though real life has taken him away from us for a while, his presence is always felt and we miss him terribly. and yes he DID check in with us everyday during his honeymoon!

Overall, i think we are very blessed with the people we have and each one of them is very special. I love you guys!

VOTE FOR EMMA, CLARA AND JOHN!!!!

This is a hard one to call, I like everyone in these matches, they are all great players.

I feel I should say something about Emerald Drew though. She has been around a long time, through many ups and downs both in the game and outside it, and still she comes here as much as possible and always has something nice and sweet to say about everyone.

She's been an inspiration to others and I'm honored to call her a friend of mine :)

VOTE FOR EM!!!

I also want to speak up for MamaTerra, who is on sabbatical from sleuth at the moment. When she was here, she was awesome, a great player, a dedicated friend and has a great sense of humor. I miss her every day she's not here and hope she comes back to us soon!

VOTE FOR MAMA!!! (p.s. I love Carrie too!)

VOTE CARRIE MEHOME

Carrie has been a fantastic director, co/director, mentor and most importantly friend to me since i started sleuth. She will happily give anyone a chance and has spent countless hours training new sleuthers both within her own agency and elsewhere.

Many a time when i have had RL issues to contend with Carrie has stuck by me and been so incredibly supportive making her a fantastic friend to have.

Sleuth really wouldnt be the same without her so make sure you vote for CARRIE MEHOME

As the little boy was drawing a moustache on the face of a gentleman on a purple poster, he suddenly felt the shadow of someone from behind being cast upon him. The little boy turned, and to his sheer terror it was that same lady in violet.

Miss Violet Parr raised an eyebrow.

“No fair!” the boy shrieked. “This one is a man! I am allowed to draw a moustache on a man.”

Miss Parr studied Barry Grant’s new moustache, drawn upon his photo, and then shrugged. “Fair enough…”

“Who is this guy anyway?” the little boy asked.

“He is an actor, possibly the most famous one in town.” Violet Parr declared a simple fact.

“Wow! Is he in the pictures?”

“No, he is on stage, a fantastically talented role player. I cannot imagine this place without him. A classic, if you will, in his own right. He helped make a name for us actors and role-players.”

The boy looked at the portrait of the man before him and muttered. “Barry Grant… he looks swell… like a real actor!”

“Indeed.” Miss Parr added. “He has most of the women around here after him.”

“Including yourself?” the boy wondered with a sly smile.

“I am afraid not, cheeky boy. Yet that does not mean that I shan’t support him whenever he needs it.”

The boy gazed up towards Miss Violet Parr. She looked at him and nodded politely.

Bows in return and accepts the bbq and sweet tea. "That's pretty good stuff, thanks. I've got these cushions for the seats. Might as well get comfortable."

Barry then raises his sweet tea and says, "To you, Mr. Roepel. There isn't anyone else I'd rather lose to. Cheers."

Would like to put my two cents in for the voting tomorrow and offer my support to both Clara Dark and Emma Barlowe.

Emma is incredibly sweet and always ready to jump in and help. Whether it's recruiting, hunting, roleplaying, whatever it is, she's there for us. As our Recruiting Officer, she has done a wonderful job and so much work to bring in some great people to Al-Qahirah that not only fit into our little family but also to keep up the case solving that keeps pushing us up the standings.
She is also involved with the Sleuth community with her charm and humor on the Boards and her participation in the AVL. She is not only an asset to Al-Q, but a valuable member of the Sleuth community as a whole. As she shows both in her roleplaying abilities and in her posts, she is creative, funny and kind.

Clara is a fountain of knowledge with an incredibly generous heart. She has opened her apartment to new players outside of Al-Q, so that they may gain some invaluable experience from her extensive library of books that she has collected. I can't think of anything related to Sleuth that she doesn't know or wouldn't help me with when I asked.
She is our resident huntress as well, with 12 successful hunts under her belt and many more to come. She may be generous with us, but with villains, the woman is ruthless and without mercy in tracking and capturing her prey.

VOTE for CLARA DARK and EMMA BARLOWE!!!

Clara Dark
Emma Barlowe
Carrie Mehome
Dogberta
LilRach
Biggie528
Barry Grant

These two days have a plethora of people worthy of voting for.

Barry and Biggie both are as well known in this community as is possible.

Lilrach and Dogberta are two of the best moderators and nicest people here. A vote for Rach lets you off the hook for not sending a wedding present.

Carrie Mehome is one of those people you just are glad you met in life.

Clara and Emma are two of the reasons I am still here. There are bigger names (see above) that I am great friends with. But these two exemplify what Sleuth and team work is all about. They don't get the glory of everyone knowing them on sight, but without them the day in and day out work of an agency could not be done.

mmm more unsolicited support.

This time for the person who for the last couple of months has kept me more interested in Sleuth than I have been for a while.

Carrie Mehome.

It's actually been fun (in a strange masochistic 'I hate Delhi' kinda way) chasing her around Sleuthville's dusty streets, and trying to slip past her on the Villain Hunt high scores list.

If you want to vote for someone who plays Sleuth the way it is meant to be played, a vote for Carrie wouldn't go astray.
