In honor of that lousy waste of a month February being over, I have decided to hold the first-ever Sleuth March Madness Tournament!

The premise is pretty simple. We compile a list of 64 of the game's most recognizable players, seed them into a tournament bracket, and allow Sleuthville to vote for the "best" in each matchup.

Rules for eligibility:
You must be subscribed and over 30 days old
You must PM me with your intent to enter the tournament or to nominate an eligible member for the tournament. If you are nominating someone, you must also be subscribed and older than 30 days.
Entries and nominations should be messaged ASAP. As soon as we get 64, the seeding process will begin and the matchups will be posted.

After the initial bracket is filled, I will post a few matchups here every day. Then, the people involved in those matchups will have an opportunity to say "anything" on this thread that they feel will allow them to advance to the next round of competition. Sleuthville votes will be what decides the winners, and voting information will be coming soon.

The overall winner of this tournament will receive $100,000 sleuth cash.

OK Folks... Day one of Sleuth March Madness is now officially over.

Because of a previous arrangement with Biggie528 involving the bracket submission deadline, I will NOT be releasing the winners of the March 5th matches until noon server time (at the earliest.)

However, you can now vote for the matches scheduled for today, March 6th:

The winners will be announced tomorrow as soon after midnight as I am able to post them.

Also, the next wave of matches have been determined and are eligible for "discussion" on this thread. These matches will be voted on tomorrow, March 7th, from midnight to midnight:

She's awesome. She's smart. She knows this game like the back of her hand. She's everywhere a sleuther can be, and she rocks. You can talk to her about anything and she can really make you laugh when you're feeling sad. She's an all around super gal and everyone should vote for her..... Go Biggie!

LilRach! Cause Lil' things go far (and fast) :P

Lilrach contacted me one day more then a year ago. She was running an agency with her sister. Summer break has left her alone in the agency. She asked to joined Fat Kitten for 2-3 months. and she never left...

Lil is the one keeping me sane. I think she is part of the reason Im still here after almost 3 years.

She is the one I can trust with all the difficult agency stuff, like kicking out ppl LOL I know that she'll do it with class.

and if you can be bad with class... then you kick ass!

(hmmm should I mod myself now? LOL)

BTW Lil is in vegas now for her wedding (10 march). So she cant speak for herself. But lets give her a wedding present.

To me, Rhiemma Moon (aka the godmother) will always be MY director. She took me in from the streets of New York when I was a hungry, naked, cold, poor babe; and made me feel at home when I joined my first agency, The Closers. I've learned a lot about being a director from her. She is THE most patient person I have ever known. She would listen to all our problems, whether Sleuth-related or not, and would try to solve them with us or help us accept them. In real life she is a fantastic, brave woman who never loses faith, and I am so proud of her!

Many thanks to Lady Jas for nominating me. I'm not sure what I'm the best at other than perhaps being the oldest Sleuther working hard at staying young in mind, body, and spirit.........solving cases and reading detective novels for my mind, plenty of exercise for my body, and karaoke for the spirit. I do a mean Bob Segar and Jerry Lee Lewis. :)

Bravery? ::chuckles:: Sometimes that's just a euphemism for too stubborn to listen. ::grins:: and sometimes the only reason you walk into that fire is because of the sharp stick jabbing you in the ... uh,... posterior.

And now comes a visual of Marlon Brando in a pink tutu and fairy wings with a gold topped wand chasing Puck through the woods yelling, "Just for the night! Just one night!" Ok. Tonight I take the sleeping pill.
