It was Wednesday night when Miss Violet Parr got out of a black car, and walked towards the steps of the large building that appeared to face her in the pitch black darkness of the night.

The loud music, blinding lights and sharp noises of laughter and chatter emitting from the large building did not deter Miss Parr from taking a few more confident steps towards the building, the length of her violet velvet dress trailing behind her. A cold chill came over her and she tightened the purple feather boa she was wearing around her bare shoulders. “So this is what he turned the place into.” She commented casually to herself.

Before her stood what once was the Marquee Theatre. Newly designed and quite obviously fully refurbished from the inside as well. Miss Parr reviewed her findings: The ownership of the Marquee has been transferred to Mrs. Georges and her husband Mr. Georges, the previous owner, was nowhere to be found.

The infamous socialite Mrs. Georges had, quite expectedly, turned the Theatre into a Ball Room/Party Hall, and reduced its long creative theatrical history to one long ongoing party. What was once the Marquee Theatre was now the Marquee Grand Hall.

Though the Marquee was not very popular with the New York crowds, Miss Parr more often than not enjoyed viewing the classic shows the Marquee produced whilst she awaited Mr. Georges’ availability or her own recreational benefit.

Miss Violet Parr was determined to expose whatever information Mrs. Georges had to hide. Though she has never met the lady before, Violet was certain that the answers to her most pressing questions would somehow lie under the layers of fur and jewels that Mrs. Georges choose to bury herself in for most newspaper photographs.

Right before she would enter the Marquee Hall, Violet wore a feathery purple mask that would conceal her identity. Tonight she was to be Miss Feathers once again, and she carefully chose to attend Mrs. Georges’ Masked Ball for this very purpose.

Christopher reiterated. “Have you gone mad? Dragging her out of Marquee is one thing, kidnapping her to another country is another! I thought you always had a strong sense of morality Violet!”

“Well, Mr. Keller, my morality has been put to the test tonight. We are, after all, human and we do fail some of life’s examinations from time to time.”

“Violet, how will you get her through the docks in her current state?! She is not some parcel you can hide in the folds of one of your purple dresses.”

“I have my ways… I do not want to lose anymore time, are you with me on this? Or am I on my own? I shall hold no grudges Christopher, just be honest. I can understand how much trouble you will be involved in should you aid me in this peril.”

Christopher Keller froze for a moment, whilst Violet Parr nodded with anticipation.

Arsenio took his midnight strolls around New York by the docks seeing the dark water refreshed him from all the harshness in Chicago. "Finally away from problems and into a new life." Arsenio said to himself.

Arsenio fixed his long trench coat to make it invisible of wrinkles. Arsenio unrolled his sleeves to cover the Jade bracelet and the Knife tucked in it.

Arsenio took a revolver out of his pocket and examined it for a few seconds. " I guess I won't be needing you anymore friend." Arsenio said to himself as he took out the six bullets in it.

"For heaven’s sake Christopher…! Not literally brace yourself!"

Arsenio looked back and saw three sillhouttes one just standing up from the ground, the second wearing a long gown of sorts, and the third was just being dragged. Arsenio sighed to himself and said: "Well my friend it looks like I will need you one last time." Arsenio said to his revolver as he put the six bullets back in place.

As the group went to the docks Arsenio hid behind a pile of crates that are scheduled to be shipped to London.

"So how are we gonna explain to security that were going to smuggle an unconscious old woman to London?" said the first person. "Leave that to me Christopher and this time don't let go of her!" said the woman in the gown. "London... I'm not going to be able to travel to London when I was nearly unable to escape authorities in Chicago!" Arsenio whispered to himself and then remembered what the writings on the crates said.

"I guess I can get out of one of the crates once I'm on the boat..." Arsenio then snuck into one of the larger crates which, to Arsenio's luck, was filled with mangoes. "Brilliant now I have to live off these again... Oh well." Arsenio then closed the lid of the crate and then replaced the long silence with singing tunes to himself.

“What was that?” Miss Violet Parr, her senses suddenly heightened, grew concerned as she scanned the docks with her eyes.

“What now?” Christopher was starting to get tired and weary.

“You heard that noise, did you not? A melancholic metallic sound… it seemed to come from one of the crates over there.” Violet shivered, and tightened her purple feather boa around her shoulders against the harshness of the weather.

“Vi, are we hearing things now? I wanna know just how-” Christopher started.

“Uh-oh…” Mrs. Georges’ body started moving, her jewelry and clothes utterly disoriented, her makeup now damp and smudged all over her face. Across from her crawling weak body, the sun was slowly rising in the horizon, illuminating the dark waters surrounding the area and giving them a radiant turquoise colour.

“Oh God no…” Miss Parr took a small bottle from her purse. “Christopher, give her this. It should help her sleep.”

“Help her sleep? We’re killing her now?”

“UH!” Violet let out a horrified shriek. “You take me for a Murderess? Literally help her sleep! We cannot smuggle a tied-up, fidgeting, conscious woman before the people who will soon fill this area!”

“So how do you propose we make our way into the ship with this sleeping beauty?” Christopher Keller was skeptical.

“Simple.” Violet Parr shrugged off his question. “We will charm our way in.”

“Charm our way…? Into a criminal act…?”

“You would surprised Christopher how believably lawful any request will seem if made with authority and confidence.” Violet Parr adjusted her scarf and proceeded to the tickets station.

Arsenio peeped through one of the holes in the crate and saw that the body the two people were carrying was regaining consciousness. "Here's my chance." Arsenio said to himself.

Arsenio took his revolver out of his pocket and was just about to jump out of the crate until a pair of men came running in. "Come on boys, let's get these crates into the ships cargo! Hurry! The Captain won't like it if he see's these boxes left behind!" said a man who was supposedly the supervisor of the loading.

Arsenio was in trouble, he though to himself a way of getting out. "LOOK! KIDNAPPERS! OVER THERE!" Arsenio shouted at the top of his lungs as he barged himself out of the crate.

"Kidnappers? Get em' boys!" said the supervisor.

The two kidnappers made haste into trying to get the woman away from the docks.

"Blast! Come on Christopher carry the old hag and let's get out of here!" Said the woman as she lifted her dress and ran as fast as she could.

The woman stopped in her tracks as the person alleged to be Christopher took the old woman off. "Violet come on! We don't have time!"

"Arsenio Armas... HAHAHA! I finally found the great Arsenio Armas! Your family in the Philippines will hear about this!"

Arsenio was shocked, as she looked at the woman top to bottom. He did not want to return to the Philippines. Arsenio then recovered his senses and aimed his revolver at the person known as Violet.

Arsenio shot her but missed as it only hit the lefg of her dress. They then ran away into the darkness not to be seen anymore...

It all happened in a blur!

He was already struggling to keep up with Violet’s less than sane idea to kidnap Mrs. Georges (which exactly what they were doing no matter how nicely Violet tried to phrase it), then next thing he knew they were being chased and shot at.

It all went to hell when Chris and Violet were about to attempt to ‘charm’ their way into the ship, along with an unconscious over-powdered woman no less.

‘LOOK! KIDNAPPERS! OVER THERE!’ was shouted seemingly out of nowhere garnering the attention of the crate-lifters. Christopher and Violet exchanged a quick glance and both knew instinctively what they had to do next. The docks were in total chaos as Chris and Violet dodged their way into the shadows along with their unconscious charge. But just as they were about to escape their pursuers, Violet glimpsed a figure out of the corner of her eye and a look of horrified recognition passed over her angelic face and she was frozen in place with shock. It took the sight of a revolver being drawn in her direction to snap her back to her senses, and she was only spared being shot by her sharp senses and quick reflexes.

Chris turned so quickly when he heard the shot he almost dropped Mrs. Georges once again. But that was the least of his worries as for a moment that felt more like eternity like Chris, he was overwhelmed with an all consuming fear for his friend’s life but he was spared almost immediately as he saw the figure of Violet hurrying to catch up with him.

‘Are you alright Vi??’ He asked her while he was searching her for any wounds. ‘Yes yes I’m fine Chris, my pride is the only thing that’s been hurt’ she sniffed indignantly as they proceeded to hide in one of the storage offices.

Chris was far too relieved about her safety to admonish her about her earlier faltering, and settled for smiling at her indulgently as she composed herself. To her credit, it only took her minutes to get her self together and start plotting again.

‘We need to get back out there, the authorities are probably on their way as we speak’ she said regrettably. ‘It’ll be much harder to flee in the daylight so we need to move now’.

‘No, I’ve had enough of your plans Vi’ barked Christopher. Violet was rather shocked and Chris took advantage of her silence to plunge forward. ‘I’m sorry but you need to face facts, London is out of the question for now. Even if we get on the ship, it’ll be searched thoroughly after what happened earlier so we need to find another ship on the other side of the dock no matter its destination’. Before Violet had a chance to chastise him for interrupting her then proceed to dismiss his idea, they heard approaching footsteps from outside and they both went deathly silent. Their argument forgotten for the moment, they looked at each other and agreed silently how to deal with the intruder. Violet started talking again about how they had to go back and board the ship as Chris approached the door silently. A moment later the door burst open and a skinny pale figure barged in and pointed a familiar revolver at Violet just as Chris struck him unconscious from his back.

Chris turned the now limp body around and stared at the sallow face but there was nothing familiar about him. Violet however, didn’t have that problem and as Chris glanced at her he saw the blood leave her face at the sight of him. ‘You know him don’t you?’ he asked her. ‘I’m afraid so though he doesn’t know who I am, his name is Arsenio Armas’ explained Violet looking slightly sick at the sight of him. Chris was suddenly reminded of the wayward gunshot and kicked Armas hard for good measure.

‘What should we do with him then?’ he asked when his anger deflated slightly. Violet thought about it for a while then a devious grin took hold of her full lips. ‘I think Mr. Armas here is in need of a holiday wouldn’t you agree Chris’ She said with a gleam in her eyes. Christopher caught on her meaning instantly and was not impressed.

‘If you think I’m going to drag him around as well as this hag then you better think again’ he huffed. Ms Parr’s only response was to adjust her gown and give him a you-better-start-moving look.

In the end Chris caved and dragged Armas to the other side of the dock and locked him in a banana crate heading to shanghai. He then went back to Violet and helped her once again with Mrs. Georges. ‘The commotion around the London ship died down a bit but it’s still too risky, the coast is clear around the Shanghai ship so that’s our best bet for now so charm away’ Violet wasn’t happy about this but she knew that Chris was right so with as much dignity as she could muster she proceeded to charm their way into the ship and Chris had to suppress a smug smile.

"Uhh... what? What happened to-"

Arsenio was trapped in a box. "What the-?" Arsenio tried to barge himself out as he did with the mango crate but to no avail. He took his revolver but with no luck. "They took my gun! They took my gun! That little-" Arsenio then unrolled his left sleeve to find that he still has his Jade Bracelet and Switch Knife. "A hole in this crate would do me good."

As Arsenio tried to get a hole in he heard a familiar voice. It was the Christopher fellow. Arsenio took a look at one of the holes to hear him talk to the Violet person. "Violet... that son of a-" Arsenio was interrupted by the sound of Christophers voice. "-the coast is clear around the Shanghai ship so that’s our best bet for now so charm away."

"Shanghai..." he then heard the same crate lifters who were there last night, this time Arsenio decided to sit tight and try to hear if the crate he was in was going to Shanghai.

"Alright boys come on let's get these in. Arsenio then spotted a crate that was being lifted. It had the markings of one word: SHANGHAI. The crates that were being lifted were going to Shanghai. "If this crate is also lifted then it will go to Shanghai!" Then with relief he felt the movement of the crate he was in. "YES!" Arsenio said in his head...

At feeling the crate halting he knew he was in the ship now. He was a stowaway and Arsenio knew this was not good. Arsenio took back his knife and cut his way out of the crate. The cargo hold was huge but he found an exit that led straight upstairs.

"Well here goes my adventure of a lifetime..." Arsenio said to himself with a grin in his face.

As Arsenio went upstairs he saw the crouded deck of the ship. People mingling or just laying about waiting for the trip to end. Arsenio was lucky to spot a ticket dangling out of a man's coat. Arsenio went toward the man to snatch it. Learning his skill in Pick Pocketing he went over and grabbed it with one swipe and moved on.

Arsenio glanced at the ticket and knew he wouldn't be in trouble...

Yet.

"Thank you Mother Inquisitor, thank you." Arsenio said to himself in relief and then walked on to find Christopher, Violet and with luck the woman they were kidnapping.

And then he spots them. The woman now in a different dress and the man along with a woman taking an alleged "nap". "Oh Christopher will you stop worrying your head off! Why would Arsenio just show up in this boat! We took his revolver! How else will he get out of that crate!" Violet shouted at Christopher as he put more drugs in the womans mouth. "I don't know Violet but you still can't say Arsenio is good! I mean, how else did he find us in the room?" "I don't know but you still shouldn't be negative! Let's just get her in our room and keep an eye on her."

They were coming toward Arsenio's direction. Arsenio adjusted his berret so that it would conceal his face as the three walked on.

"That was too close for comfort..." Arsenio then walked on and tried to find a place to get a good nights sleep...

My Dear Friend,

I pray this letter finds you well. I must admit that I have been worried about you my dear. I really do sympathies with you regarding your recent misfortune but adding a few inches to your waste will do nothing to solve your problems. Enough with the pleasantries, you know I'm not what you might call a sentimental person so I'll get right to the point. The girls and I have gotten sick of your sulking and moaning about how that degenerate filth of a boy managed to hoodwink you and steal all your money. Honestly, what did you expect!!! You were the boy's senior by at least 30 years you stupid cow! You really believed he was in love with you!!! Well, we all know the answer to that don’t we and if you think that I wont point out that I warned time and time again that he was a gold digger and that you'll regret it if you went ahead and married, then you're wrong because I will!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

Now that that's out of the way and we've given you enough time to mope about your idiocy, its time you do something about it. We're coming out of retirement for a short while, just long enough to bring that boy down. The girls and I have been digging around, you'll be surprised how much people let their guard down around old ladies, and we found out that the boy's real name wasn’t Philip Yang like he made you believe nor was he from China.
