I am tired of Ben not doing anything about people who lie, cheat, and steal in this game. Ben gives people to many chances. People need to be banned. How many more agencies must suffer the consequences of having rogue detectives join, take sign on bonuses, loot lockers, steal money from safe accounts, and then leave to repeat the process before the administration takes action? Chronestrian left this site for a reason, and I spoke to him shortly before he quit. I honestly told him that the site was not going to change and that people would continue to abuse the system without any fear of punishment. Enough is enough. I call upon the denizens of Slueth to support my referendum. Ben must take action against repeat offenders.

Ok, as a self-proclaimed sweet tea expert, I must jump in.

Sweet tea is brewed hot and sugar is dissolved while hot before pouring over ice. So it's basically sweetened and then iced tea.

Sweet tea is NOT what you buy in the bottle or can that says Lipton or Nestea. I've noticed that if you ask for sweet tea up north they will just give you a bottle. Not the same.

Adding sugar to ice tea is also not the same. The cold beverage does not allow the sugar to dissolve properly. It must be done hot.

Ok Long, so on that note, I buy my iced coffee and ask them to melt the sugar for me with hot coffee, then add ice.

Does this mean I am drinking Sweet Coffee?

I heart semantics debates lol...ooh yeah, and the whole hijacking thing ;)

I do love a good hijacking.

Sweet tea is absolutely fanfreakentastic! And I've noticed that around here, sweet tea isn't sweet enough for most people. (Which is nuts!) They add extra sugar once it gets to the table. But as stated above, the sugar won't dissolve properly into cold tea.

Oh and SS... Don't you worry about me getting soft. As the only sleuther with such an appropriately sleuthy job title (concierge), you know I must have the proper connections to the underworld my friend. ;0)

Biggie, my dear, I would assume that you could call that Sweet Coffee. However, I don't recall ever seeing anyone put sugar in their ice coffee. My dad used to drink it and he would load it with creamer, but I don't remember ever seeing him add sugar.

Hehehehe so yeah sorry about the whole hijacking thing but i had to ask.

I noticed in Tennessee that sweet tea is pretty much the most popuar soft drink going, and yes i think i was made to attempt sweet tea every day that i was there. Still being a boring old brit i prefer my tea hot with milk and no sugar. I dont think there's anyway on earth i'm going to be persuaded otherwise, sorry guys :)

I remember having to teach the Mem Sahib how to make a proper cup of tea - Warm the pot, take the pot to the kettle, one spoon for each person and one for Nanny and all that.

All this cold water business just doesn't work - you are just making a tea flavoured beverage.

At least you are moving away from throwing the tea into large amounts of salt water.....

(wanders off in search of a kettle)

I cant imagine drinking ANY kind of coffee without sugar and cream. So No, I dont think adding sugar to Iced Coffee is an odd thing to do.

But my Ice tea I dont drink with any sugar. I do however drink my hot tea with sugar and cream.
