For those who like to tell stories. The idea is to take a given sentence and use it as the opening to a story that you write - but your story must be fifty words or less (not including the original sentence).

My heart lurched as I witnessed the ensuing zombie apocalypse around me. I was always obsessed with the idea of enhancing human genetics. But if I knew it would end so horribly wrong I would have buried those dreams in the deepest pit of my dark soul.

Once upon a time in the West a cowboy was butthurt as he laid on the ground with a .40 caliber bullet in his rear end. Was it the pain or the humiliation that hurt the most he pondered as the sun was setting.

I was walking around with cotton candy.
I had to try and fit in with Earth customs. This 'Halloween' thing was supposedly about costumes and sugary foodstuffs. A lump of the cotton candy made an effective wig, and I'd teased out the sticky pink fibres into fabric for a dress.
Hmm, strange looks. Had I misunderstood?
