What are the most valuable items (items that give you the most adjustments in toughness, smart and charm) that exist?

Hi Jane -

The most valuable items in each category are all rewards for completing Arch Villain hunts, which are sadly not available to you since you aren't subscribed. They go as high (I think?) as + 8.

To the best of my knowledge, the top items available to non-subs are:

Charm:
very expensive perfume (+5; available from Order of Socrates)
Silver Handled Cane (+5; available from Dies Arcanum Brotherhood)
Crushed Velvet Smoking Jacket (+5; available from Dies Arcanum Brotherhood)

Smart:
Forensic Camera (+5, available from Order of Socrates)
Shortwave Radio Wristwatch (+5, available from Cosa Nostra)

Tough:
Tommy Gun (+5, available from Cosa Nostra)
White Zoot Jacket (+6; available from Cosa Nostra)

Don't forget the Trained Bloodhound, +6 smarts, available through Order of Socrates. And the sequined flapper dress, +5, from Lucy's.

Basically, without subscribing, with items you buy from the factions and gain through IH favours and AI rewards, you can achieve +21 charm or tough, and +22 smarts. If you subscribe, you can travel and buy items from other factions that can get you to +23 on those numbers. Eventually after subbing you will be able to do AVH's, and the rewards will get you to a max of +30.
