I traveled to Cairo this evening and went to solve a case and saw that I have -2 cases! I then remembered that I had already solved all my cases for the day, so I am surprised I was still able to travel to Cairo. In the past (like just a few days ago) when I have tried to travel without the required number of cases left, I was not able to do so. I remember this idea being bandied about on the Message Boards before when the Arch Villain hunts started - i.e., being able to carry over left over cases for travel purposes - but I don't recall ever seeing an official announcement that it had been implemented.

Thanks for the clarification Serges. I understand now. :) What an odd coincidence, though that I really should have -2 cases for the day . . . :) FYI - I had 12 cases at turnover today - so actually got a free trip to Cairo . . . shhhh - don't tell anyone. :)

So I figured out my villain's co-conspirator in Delhi today, with two cases left. Remaining cities: London (3 cases to travel) and Shanghai (2 cases to travel). I decided to capture, hoping I'd get Shanghai. Alas, no, it's London, and I wasted two cases and potentially 11,240 XP.

So frustrating, since when you're villain hunting it's not like you can just do the two cases on the side or anything.

I've thought that too...it'd be nice if you had the choice over what to do with leftover cases after capturing. Especially if that 11 240 exp could bring you over the hump to a next skill point that would let you buy something that would help with said hunt.
