OK... so my company and I are nominated for a couple awards again. We won these awards for 2004, and came in the top 5 for 2005. So I'm calling out my friends in Sleuthville on this.

The awards are the 2006 Best Of The Burbs awards, sponsored by Suburban Nitelife magazine as a way to honor people who stand out in the bar/restaurant/entertainment industries in the greater Chicago area. You can vote once a day per email address through March, and if last year was any indication, it would only take about 2,000 votes to guarantee a victory.

Here's how to vote:

Go to www.nitelife.org and click the "Nominate Now" (Or "Vote Now") link under the Best of the Burbs image. Then you'll need to register to vote; click the "Not Registered?" link. You can register once per email address. Once you are registered, login daily and vote for the following nomineees:

"Entertainment"-- Best Karaoke Company-- LIQUID KOURAGE KARAOKE ENTERTAINMENT
"Entertainment"-- Best Male KJ-- JASON "J" BORSOM, LIQUID KOURAGE KARAOKE ENTERTAINMENT

Again, I know I'm pandering to the masses here, but I WANT to win this year, and with your help, I can do that!

Thanks in advance!

Serges, my vote is cast for the day. The message Kagome sent to AVL members was very helpful, you might want to post that here also.

... and I love the shameless entrapment on the AVL map too LOL... Voting is compulsory in Australia so I have no problems lining up at the polling booth :D I am registered and ready to roll :)

Is there a limit to the number of votes you can cast, as long as you use different email addresses? :)

I believe the only rule is one vote per category per day per email address. So if you had l;ike 20 email addresses and a LOT of time on your hands, then yes, you could vote 20 times a day.

I tried to do it with a bunch of email addresses...

Alas, no luck, both my registrations from my work computer were denied.

I did, however, post a bulletin on myspace about it and I'm telling all my other friends to vote too.

Good luck!!!! :D

Hmmm... It is Chicago. Stuffing the ballot box is like a tradition there. ;0) Consider the dirty deed done.
