Look at that, an on-time launch for a change!

Apartments are now available in the following cities:

New York
London
Shanghai
Delhi

To purchase an apartment visit the real estate agency in the city you want to buy in. Apartments are quite expensive, and furnishing them is also costly, so you probably should wait if your short on funds.

There are two types of furniture that aren't yet working:

1) Study Furniture / Case File storage: These items will allow you to save case files, as in detective agencies, but this functionality is not yet finished.

2) Bookshelves: Bookshelves will eventually allow your guests to read books that you have collected (and gain the experience from doing so), but these are also currently incomplete.

Enjoy.

Sorry LilRach, as of now, there is no way to rearrange room order without seeling your furniture and buying new stuff. I'll add something to allow that soon though.

There were two bugs related to apartment message boards (dining room tables), that have now been fixed.

1) Owners can now delete entire posts/threads.

2) Posts and replies made to message boards in apartments no longer show up in your "Post History", so those conversations are really private now.

Case File storage is now working in apartments!

There are several different pieces of furniture available with capacity to store case files in your apartment. These case files are only accessible to the owner.

I just wanted to say thank you for the apartments.

I love the fact that they are very expensive because they give us a very lofty goal to work towards. I remember thinking many months ago about the fact that there was nothing to spend your money on (besides FAs, heaven forbid) and that there was an eventual "end" in terms of what you could attain in this game. Once you get all the skills, all the themes, all the books, etc. you've got little to work towards after that.

It's hard to fathom that, when you are just starting. I know I thought it was impossible to reach 1,000,000 pts, and was in awe of those who had. Now, here I am over 3,000,000. The apartments seem like an almost unreasonable amount at face value, but for me I am ecstatic that I have a new goal that is not so easily attainable.

The apartments have easily given me fuel to actively play as much as I can for at least another six months, im sure, by the time I can buy a penthouse and furnish it fully. (and on a sidenote, thanks to Serges, now i can have a blast competing in the AVL, while i am working on this goal!)

I, again, just wanted to say thanks so much for this addition, and for giving us the opportunity to work long-term on something!

I agree. I don't yet have all the books or themes, but the detective shop has nothing that really interests me, and I had realized that eventually the money would just start to stockpile. I'm glad the apartments are expensive, because it does give me a goal to work for. I also like the fact that once you have purchased it, there is no further rent to pay.

When we solve an AI level case or a favor, is there going to be a way for us to store the equipment in our Apartment like we can store it in an Agency locker room? Or will we always have to sell the new items when we complete a case?

That's top of my wish list as well - otherwise the only option is to store something you're wearing in the agency equipment locker, go to the apartment and store the new item, then go back to the locker and pick the other thing up. Which doesn't work if your agency locker is full :(

But that's my only gripe - I'm poor but happy!!

Stealing should not be a problem. Furniture allows you to store case files and equipment, but only the person who owns the apartment can see what is inside.

Is there a way to move furniture from room to room? If I buy a larger apartment, can I move a piece of furniture from bedroom to the study of any other room without selling it and buying a new one?
