I was wondering if anyone had captured an arch villain the day after starting a hunt, as it is just possible. A quick cut, paste and sort of the list of completed hunts reveals that:

Srei Chlat started a hunt on 6 September and finished it on 7 September, and Llana de Lama started one on 2 September and finished it on 3 September. Well done! I don't know if the rules have changed since those early days to make it more difficult to finish so quickly, but it should still be possible.

At the other end of the scale Sebastian Wright took 104 days to complete a hunt, from 1 September to 14 December - better late than never!

Well, I know my wife Kagome_70 could have also had a 2-day capture like that, but due to the AVDL scoring system at the time, she waited 2 or 3 more days for her team; this was back in early October, I believe.

It is very lucky to do in two days.

Three days is quite possible to pull off, I have done it 4 of the 5 completed hunts but because of the AVL scoring system it is best to wait to turn them in on day 4.

There is a glitch in the current hunts that does not release a retired detective from that list so some people will never finish a hunt (obviously) but will also never fall off that list even though they are not in continuing.

Then others like Sebastian just log in in-frequently and so take a long time to complete. It is all in how we choose to play, Sleuth does make a nice diversion to log in occasionally to work a case or three.

Right on, SS! There's skill in solving and not quitting cases, and luck in getting good clues. Sometimes you get all of your clues pretty quickly, and other times you wait and wait (and wait and wait, grrr!) and keep getting the same clues day after day, waiting for that one definitive clue! It's the random nature of trhe game *sigh*

Completing a Villain Hunt in two days takes a great deal of luck as SS has said, luck not only in terms of clues but cases and evidence as well. I am glad to see that more people are doing them that fast, as i was wondering for a while if i had encountered a glitch when i was the first person to finish one that fast. Congrats to all who have had success and keep hunting those Villains, I hope to one day catch taht elusive Chelsea Bando.... but if teh sleuth god himself could not, i am not sure what chance i stand.

You wouldn't think that if you knew that I was wearing a transparent rain hat the last time I said it.
