What do we do with the books that we can buy from factions? Do they help us in cases or is it just something for fun? Thanks.

I hope they mean something in the future though.

Maybe Shady will take up reading and want to give us a discount on our falses for any nice book we can bring him.

Maybe just something to line the shelves in your new Sleuth apartment come Dec 27.

Only thing I'd add to what has been said here is that there is a book out there somewhere that gives you a clue as to how to get one of the less earthshaking features that you might have heard something about, 'Flat Black'.

they might help you answer questions from the towns people, if you actually read them, for the factions. I wouldn't know for sure because i actually haven't read them.

Anything that gives a discount at Shady would be nice. Though you would think that people showing up with guns and swords and knives might be able to convince him to lower his price.

As for the books, I recall reading on the boards that they would be useful somewhere in the future. I'm guessing that they will be stored in your apartment. Maybe they will give you a bonus for looking well read.
