There are so many Wings and Wongs that whenever I Wing, I get the Wong number!
Seriously. I'll have a Zi and Zhi and a Xi.... and Huang and Wang... Shou and Chou and now I've somehow got Huan Yue Dunning and Huan Yue Liu. Exact same first AND middle name!
My favorite though was Ma-Ku Chi. :-)
Seriously.... whoever came up with the names in Shanghai was a SADIST.
Anyone out there ever mis-accused in Shanghai because of mistaking a name ? I haven't yet, but I know I have to be always on my guard!

The idea that there could be two with the same first name is utterly terrifying to me... like, 'put me to bed in a drawer' scary. I've had a You Yu Yue, but never that. Has anyone ever had two same first names anywhere OTHER than Shanghai???

Crunch, I've been playing Sleuth for a year now, with a combined total of over 8 million exp pts across three detectives (one retired purposely, one not....*sob*). I have NEVER seen a duplicate first name before. EVER. So either this was a bug, or it was a very very rare randomization occurence, or I'm wrong. But I did check, because I was floored by the FA.

Since I play most of my cases in Shanghai I have had lots of the old Yan Yue Goforth and Yan Ying Ringold & Yan Yan Yues, where the first name is the same but the second name is different. :) Not fun. Makes you pay attention though.
'Funnily', my only FA from confusing names came with "Amanda" And "Ananda" in London :S

I had once a case where two suspects had EXACTLY the same name, other was a blonde and the othe brunette.
(I believe it was a bug though.) It turned out that one of them was guilty so you can believe I checked and checked and checked and checked and still wasn´t sure......

Crunch - I have had one or two cases where the first name of suspects matched outside of Shanghai. I had two Brittany's or something like that. Unfortunately, I've cleaned out most of my old case files so can't come up with the exact name. When I first started playing, I wrote down first and last name because I was worried about this situation. After a while, I noticed it didn't happen so only started recording first names. It was a shock to find a case where the first names matched.

Sounds like it's just a randomization issue. So it's very, very rare, but it happens. *pours Crunch a big ol' glass of wine*

Well, I'll have to admit that I also had a duplicate first name recently, seems like it was Huan Yue (he's a nasty bugger, isn't he?)- it was a bit of a shock, and I noticed it before any problems arose, but yes it does happen...

I have had it happen once or twice, but not often.

I had a case in Delhi with two suspects both had the same first and last name. Only the pic was different. Lucky for me I noticed it in time. I thought this was not suppose to happen so I posted a bug report, but never heard anything from Ben about it.
So it could happen!

I have come across two Huan Yues once as well and reported it as a bug, but it seems that it is still happening.
