I am up to 1690 experience points, unsubscribed, and im getting less and less skill points for each mystery. unfortunately im realizing that it would be verrryyy useful to have intermediate/advanced interrogation/rulebending/sweettalking. how can i get enough points to get the skills i need w/o doing the harder cases that i have to keep quitting?

Just one other thought - even though your character is both tough and charming, conventional wisdom around here is to concentrate on buying skills that build up just ONE of these traits - as well as your smarts- rather than splitting valuable skill points between both.

I gotta agree with Crunch on this one. Try sticking to only one method of persuading people to talk. Choose either tough or charming skills, and get your smart skills.

As for skill points, the higher your experience the slower the points come. The only way to get them is to earn an ever increasing amount of experience points. If you are having a tough time with the higher level cases you will have to move down to a level you can finish a case, and just do lots of them.

I'm confused about this though.SS told me to build up my charm skills for the Doomsayers trilogy even though I'm a tough/smart detective. So which is it?

I guess he just made a mistake :) He probably meant tough and smart.
