Ok, I'm kinda new to this game, but what happens if nobody will ponit me to new suspects. And I'm sure the suspects I have didn't do it?

Hi, GG4E,

Here's goes an answer:

1. Go pay Fortune Teller $20 to see if you have a full list of suspects or not:

His predictions go like this:

(a) You have only just begun this journey into darkness. There are many more who hold secrets in their hearts. [3 or more suspects to go... ]

(b) I sense that you have already passed many signposts on your journey, but there are still others with whom you must speak. [1 to 2 suspects to go]

(c) Your journey nears its end, for good or ill I cannot say. All of the actors have taken the stage and they now prepare to deliver their final lines. [All suspects there]

Ok... got that? Now try this:

Scenario (A) above, it might be worth visiting the shopkeepers to aks them if they have heard anything about the case.

They might throw up a new name. That person "won't have a motive", but since you'll be definitely looking for more than one missing suspect, that should be OK. Suspect D might implicate E & F, but I just about guarantee E or F will implicate D.

*You should then be able to proceed.*

Scenario (B) same as above, but if it's only one person you're missing, say if you already have 5 suspects in an easy case, and you're just looking for the 6th... it isn't worth it!

Even if the person you find from the townies is the guilty party, they won't have a motive and you CAN'T solve!

*QUIT!*

Scenario (C) maybe you just didn't take careful enough notes - I hope you're taking notes when you first learn to play :).

In any event if you're stuck after re-checking your clues... *QUIT!*

Quitting is ALWAYS better than guessing! ALWAYS!

2. I suggest playing the tutorial. Even if you have, I'd do it again. I played for days before noticing there was one, and it helped me get a feel for the game so much more than just 'guessing' what I was meant to do.

3. Have a flick through the Welcome Newbies Thread. There is a LOT of good stuff in there!

4. Keep asking questions.

5. Happy Sleuthing :)
